The seat heaters can be used when the power
mode is in ON.
Press the seat heater button:
Once - The HI setting (three indicators on)
Twice - The MID setting (two indicators on)
Three times - The LO setting (one indicator on)
Four times - The OFF se tting (no indicators on)
Pull the tab and roll up the sunshade all the
way. Use the hooks to hang it.
■Second Row Outer Seat Heaters*1 Second Row Outer Seat Heaters*
Do not use the seat heaters even in LO when the
engine is off. Under such conditions, the battery may
be weakened, making the engine difficult to start.
After a certain period of time, the strength setting for
the seat heaters will automatically be reduced by one
level at a time until the seat heater shuts off. The
elapsed time varies according to the interior
environment.
3WARNING
Heat induced burns are possible when
using seat heaters.
Persons with a diminished ability to sense
temperature (e.g., persons with diabetes,
lower-limb nerve damage, or paralysis) or
with sensitive skin should not use seat
heaters.

1Integrated Sunshades*
Use the sunshades only when the windows are fully
closed. Using the shade while a window is open can
unhook and blow off the sh ade, hitting and hurting
anyone sitting near the window.

Climate Control System
Using Automatic Climate Control
The automatic climate control system maintains the interior temperature you select.
The system also selects the proper mix of heat ed or cooled air that raises or lowers
the interior temperature to your pr eference as quickly as possible.
Use the system when the engine is running.
1. Press the AUTO button.
2. Adjust the interior temperature using the driver’s side or passenger’s side
temperature control switch.
3. Press the (ON/OFF) button to cancel.1Using Automatic Climate Control
If any buttons are presse d while using the climate
control system in auto, the function of the button
that was pressed will take priority.
The AUTO indicator will go off, but functions
unrelated to the button th at was pressed will be
controlled automatically.
During idle-stops, air-conditioning is suspended, and
only the blower remains active.
If you do not want air-cond itioning suspended, press
the Auto Idle Stop OFF button to cancel idle-stop.
To prevent cold air from bl owing in from outside, the
fan may not start i mmediately when the AUTO
button is pressed.
If the interior is very warm, you can cool it down
more rapidly by partial ly opening the windows,
turning the system on auto, and setting the
temperature to low. Change the fresh air mode to
recirculation mode until the temperature cools down.
When you set the temperature to the lower or upper
limit, Lo or Hi is displayed.
Pressing the button switches the climate
control system between on and off. When turned on,
the system returns to your last selection.

Pressing the button turns the air
conditioning system on and automatically
switches the system to fresh air mode.
Press the button again to turn off, the
system returns to the previous settings.
■To rapidly defrost the windows

For your safety, make sure you have a clear view
through all the windows before driving.
Do not set the temperatur e near the upper or lower
limit.
When cold air hits the windshield, the outside of the
windshield may fog up.
If you press the button during Auto Idle Stop, the
engine restarts automatically.
1 To rapidly defrost the windows
After defrosting the windows, switch over to fresh air
mode.
If you keep the system in recirculation mode, the
windows may fog up from humidity. This impedes
visibility.

Voice Control Operation
Your vehicle has a voice control system that allows hands-free operation.
The voice control system uses the (tal k) and (back) buttons on the steering
wheel and a microphone near the map lights on the ceiling.
To achieve optimum voice recognition when using the voice control system:
• The system recognize a natural language and accept your free form voice
command.

•Close the windows and panoramic roof.
• Adjust the dashboard and side vents so air does not blow onto the microphone
on the ceiling.
• Speak clearly in a clear, natural speakin g voice without pausing between words.
• Reduce any background noise if possible. The system may misinterpret your
command if more than one person is speaking at the same time.
■Voice Recognition

When you press the button, the system beeps and
the display changes to the voice recognition screen.
Press the (home) button, (back) button on
the True Touchpad Interface or APPS button on the
steering wheel to cancel a voice recognition function.

E. Information Collection and Storage
1. Information Collection , Use, Transmission and Storage of Data. Consent to Use of Data:
You agree that HONDA and PROVIDERS may
collect and use your information gathered in any manner as part of product support services related to the SOFTWARE or related services.
HONDA may share such information with third parties, including, without limitation, PR OVIDERS, third party software and services
suppliers, their affiliates and/or their designated agents, solely to improve their products or to provide services or technolo gies to you.
HONDA, third party software and syst ems suppliers, their affiliates and/or their de signated agent may disclose this information to others,
but not in a form that pe rsonally identifies you.
2. Information Storage.
Depending on the type of mult imedia system you have in your VEHICLE, certain information may be stored for ease
of use of the SOFTWARE including, without limitation, search hi story, location history in certain applications, previous and saved
destinations, map locations within certain applications, and device numbers and contact information.
(a) Vehicle Health Information.
Your VEHICLE may remotely transmit information re garding the status and health of your VEHICLE
(“VEHICLE INFORMATION”) to HONDA without notification to you. VEHICLE INFORMATION may contain VEHICLE maintenance and
malfunction status that is derived from VEHICLE diagnostic data and includes, but is not limited to, status of powered doors and windows,
battery life data, battery charging data, VE HICLE speed, coolant temperature, air comp ressor revolution, output power, warning codes,
diagnostic trouble codes, fuel injection volume, and engine rotati ons per minute. VEHICLE HEALTH INFORMATION may be used by HON DA
for research and development, to deliver HONDA SERVICES and informat ion to you, and to contact you, and is retained only for a period
of time necessary to fulfill these goals.
(b) VEHICLE Geolocation Data (non-navigation/map based).
If you opt-in to geolocation-based SERVICES, your vehicle’s geolocation data
(latitude and longitude) will be automatically sent from your VEHICLE to HONDA and PROVIDERS.
(c) You understand that the inputting or uploading of information to your VEHICLE’s multimedia system or the SOFTWARE or SERVIC ES is
at your own risk and that HONDA is not responsible for unauthori zed access to or use of any personal or other information. All information
uploaded to the SOFTWARE and SERVICES may be stored on your VEHICLES’s multimedia system and you understand that the security and
safety of your VEHICLE’s multimedia system is your sole responsibility.

Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink ® (HFL) allows you to place and receive phone calls using
your vehicle’s audio system, without handling your cell phone.
Using HFL

Voice control tips
•Aim the vents away from the ceiling and close the
windows, as noise coming from them may interfere
with the microphones.
•Press the button when you want to call a
number using a phonebook name or a number.
Speak clearly and naturally after a beep.
•If the microphone picks up vo ices other than yours,
the command may be misinterpreted.
•To change the volume level, use the audio system’s
volume or use the audio remote controls on the

Before Driving
Driving Preparation
Check the following items before you start driving.
• Make sure there are no obstructions on th e windows, door mirrors, exterior
lights, or other parts of the vehicle.
u Remove any frost, snow, or ice.
u Remove any snow on the roof, as this can slip down and obstruct your field of
vision while driving. If frozen solid , remove ice once it has softened.
u When removing ice from around the wheel s, be sure not to damage the wheel
or wheel components.
• Make sure the hood is securely closed.
u If the hood opens while driving, your front view will be blocked.
• Make sure the tires are in good condition.
u Check air pressure, and check for damage and excessive wear.

•Make sure there are no people or ob jects behind or around the vehicle.
u There are blind spots from the inside.

NOTICE
When doors are frozen s hut, use warm water around
the door edges to melt any ice. Do not try to force
them open, as this can damage the rubber trim
around the doors. When done, wipe dry to avoid
further freezing.
Do not pour warm water into the key cylinder.
You will be unable to insert the key if the water
freezes in the hole.
Heat from the engine and exhaust can ignite
flammable material s left under the hood, causing a
fire. If you’ve parked y our vehicle for an extended
period, inspect and remove any debris that may have
collected, such as dried grass and leaves that have
fallen or have been carried in for use as a nest by a
small animal. Also check under the hood for leftover
flammable materials after you or someone else has
performed maintenance on your vehicle.
