Safe Driving
■When side curtain airbags deploy in a frontal collision
One or both side curtain ai rbags may also inflate in a moderate-to-severe angled
frontal collision.
Airbag System Indicators
If a problem occurs in the airbag system , the SRS indicator will come on and a
message appears on the mu lti-information display.
■When the power mode is set to ON
The indicator comes on for a few seconds,
then goes off. This te lls you the system is
working properly.
If the indicator comes on at any other time, or does not come on at all, have the
system checked by a dealer as soon as po ssible. If you don’t, your airbags and seat
belt tensioners may not work properly when they are needed.

Ignoring the SRS indicator can result in
serious injury or death if the airbag systems
or tensioners do not work properly.
Have your vehicle checked by a dealer as
soon as possible if th e SRS indicator alerts
you to a possible problem.

Accessories and Modifications
Accessories
When installing accessories, check the following:
• Do not install accessories on the windshie ld. They can obstruct your view and
delay your reaction to driving conditions.
• Do not install any accessorie s over areas marked SRS Airbag, on the sides or backs
of the front seats, on front or side pillars, or near the side windows.
Accessories installed in these areas may interfere with proper operation of the
vehicle’s airbags or may be propelled into you or another occupant if the airbags
deploy.
• Be sure electronic accessories do not over load electrical circuits or interfere with
proper operation of your vehicle.

•Before installing any electronic accessory, have the inst aller contact a dealer for
assistance. If possible, have a d ealer inspect the final installation.
• It is recommended to use genuine Acura roof bicycle racks for carrying bicycles.
Do not install load-c arrying (strap-type) accessory racks to the tailgate, as they
may interfere with normal operation, whic h may result in damage to the tailgate.
