When you turn the ignition switch to
the LOCK (0) position and release it,
or remove the built-in key f rom the
ignition switch, the steering wheel
automatically moves f ully in and up.
Steering wheel movement is also
controlled by the driving position
memory system (see page ).
To change the ‘‘AUTO TILT &
TELESCOPIC’’ setting, see page
.If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, or the
f use f or the power tilt and telescopic
steering wheel is removed, the
power tilt and telescopic steering
wheel system needs to be reset
when you reconnect the battery or
install the f use. The steering wheel returns to its
original position when you push the
ignition switch or insert the built-in
key back in the ignition switch. Push the ignition switch f or more
than 1 second and release it, or
insert the built-in key into the
ignition switch, and remove it. The
steering wheel automatically moves
f ully in and up to let you know the
system is reset.

The handle of each f ront door has a
sensor. That sensor works with the
remote so you can automatically
unlock/lock the door(s).
By def ault, only the driver’s door
unlocks when you grab its handle.If a remote is within operating range
while you wash your vehicle or when
it is raining heavily, the door sensors
may respond by unlocking the doors.
The unlock sensors do not operate
when:
Theremoteisnotwithinthe
operating range.
The remote is too close to the
vehicle.
When the doors are unlocked.
Theremotebatteryisdead.
The vehicle battery is dead.
If you do not open any of the doors
within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock. If you wear a glove while grabbing a
f ront door handle, the door sensor
maybeslowtorespondormaynot
respond by unlocking the doors. To change the ‘‘KEYLESS ACCESS
BEEP’’ setting, see page . To change the ‘‘KEYLESS ACCESS
LIGHT FLASH’’ setting, see page
. When you unlock the door(s), some
exterior lights blink twice and the
system beeps twice. All the doors unlock when you grab
the handle of the f ront passenger’s
door. To change the ‘‘DOOR UNLOCK
MODE’’ setting, see page .
To unlock the remaining doors and
the trunk, press the UNLOCK
button on the remote or the rear of
the master door lock switch on the
driver’s door.109

sensor of the f ront door by hand, all
the doors and the trunk will lock.The lock sensors do not operate if :

Say ‘‘ .’’
If you want HFL to create a
random code each time you pair a
phone, say ‘‘ .’’ If you want
to choose your own 4-digit code to
be used each time, say ‘‘ ’’
and f ollow the HFL prompts.You can make calls using any phone
number or a name in the HFL
phonebook. You can also redial the
last number called.
Bluetooth is the wireless technology
that links your phone to HFL. HFL
uses a Class 2 Bluetooth, which
means the maximum range between
yourphoneandvehicleis30feet(10
meters).
During a call, HFL allows you to talk
up to 30 minutes af ter you remove
the key from the ignition switch.
However, this may weaken the
vehicle’s battery.Press and release the HFL Talk
button bef ore a command.
Say ‘‘ ’’ af ter the
