Shows the instant fuel economy as a bar gr aph in mpg (U.S.) or l/100 km (Canada).
Shows the estimated distance you can travel on the remaining power and fuel. This
distance is estimated from the fuel economy of your previous trips.
Shows the time elapsed since Trip A or Trip B was reset.
Shows the average speed in mph (U.S.) or km/h (Canada) since Trip A or Trip B was
reset.
Shows the current mode for ACC with LSF.

Controls
The built-in key can be us ed to lock/unlock the
doors when the keyless access remote battery
becomes weak and th e power door lock/
unlock operation is disabled.
To remove the built-in key, pull it out while
sliding the release knob. To reinstall the built-
in key, push the built-i n key into the keyless
access remote until it clicks.

1Using the Keyless Access System
If the distance at which the remote transmitter works
varies, the batter y is probably low.
If the LED does not come on when you press a

You can customize the door lock mode and keyless
lock acknowledge ment setting.

If you do not open a door within 30 seconds of
unlocking the vehicle, th e doors will automatically
relock.
When you go into the front side of the keyless access
system working range with all the doors locked, the
front and rear door outer handle ambient lights come
on for 30 seconds.
The lights do not come on if you have previously
stayed within the range for more than five minutes,
or the doors have been locked for a few days.
The feature activates again after you drive the
vehicle, then lock the doors.
The light flash, beep a nd unlock settings can be
customized using the audio/information screen or
multi-information display.

the doors will automatically relock.

If the interior light switch is in the door activated
position, the interior light s come on when you press
the unlock button.
No doors opened: The li ghts fade out after 30
seconds.
Doors relocked with the remote: The lights go off

the operating range may vary depending on the
surroundings.
The remote will not lock th e vehicle when a door is

If the keyless remote battery or the vehicle battery is dead, use the key instead of the
keyless remote. Fully insert the key and turn it.
■Locking the front doors

■Lockout prevention system
The doors cannot be locked wh en the keyless access remote is inside the vehicle, and
any door is open.

When you lock the driver’s door with a key, all the
other doors lock at the sa me time. When unlocking,
the driver’s door unlocks first. Turn the key a second
time within a few seconds to unlock the remaining
doors.
If you unlock the doors with the key, the alarm goes
off when you open the hood or select other than

Make sure you have the key in your hand before
locking the door to prevent it from being locked in
the vehicle.

You can remotely check if your vehicle’s doors
are all locked or any are unlocked using the
keyless access remote from extended
distances.
Press the lock button, the Am ber (LEFT) LED blinks once. Then after three seconds
one of the following feedback will come:
• Green (center) comes on: Acknowle dges that the doors are locked.
• Red (right) comes on: Acknowledges that doors are not locked, or any door is not
completely closed.
• Red (right) blinks three times: The remote does not receive the door lock status
from the vehicle.

Operate the remote in an open space. If there are
buildings or other obstacl es between your vehicle
and the remote, the remote may not work even
within the operable range. However, the range of
unlock, all doors, and panic functions are the same as

Automatic lighting control can be used when
the power mode is in ON.
When the light switch is in AUTO, the
headlights and other exterior lights will switch
on and off automatica lly depending on the
ambient brightness.
You can change the auto light sensitivity
setting.

We recommend that you tu rn on the lights manually
when driving at night, in a dense fog, or in dark areas
such as long tunnels or parking facilities.
The light sensor is in the location shown below.
