5. Connect the other end of the second
jumper cable to the GND terminal as
shown. Do not connect this jumper cable to
any other part.
6. If your vehicle is connected to another
vehicle, start the assisting vehicle’s engine
and increase its rpm slightly.
7. Attempt to start your vehicle’s engine. If it
turns over slowly, check that the jumper
cables have good metal-to-metal contact.
Once your vehicle’s engine has started, re move the jumper cables in the following
order.
1. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle’s ground.
2. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery -
terminal.
3. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle’s jump start box + terminal.
4. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery +
terminal.
Have your vehicle inspected by a n earby service station or a dealer.1If the Battery Is Dead
The vehicle stability assist
TM (VSA ®) system, vehicle
stability assistTM (VSA ®) OFF, adaptive cruise control
(ACC) with low speed follow, and safety support
indicators may come on in amber along with a
message in the multi-information display when you
set the power mode to ON after reconnecting a
battery.
Drive a short distance at more than 12 mph (20
km/h).
Each indicator should go off. If any do not, have your
vehicle checked by a dealer.

with the Warning Message
■Reasons for the indicator to blink
The transmission is malfunctioning.
■What to do when the indicator blinks
• Immediately have your vehicle inspected by
a dealer.
• Put the transmission into

Emergency Towing
Call a professional towing service if you need to tow your vehicle.
■Flatbed equipment
The operator loads your vehicle on the back of a truck.
This is the only way you can safely transport your vehicle.
Any other towing method will dama ge the vehicle's drive system.

■Wheel lift equipment
The tow truck uses two pivoti ng arms that go under the front tires and lift them off
the ground. The rear tires remain on the ground. This is an acceptable way to
tow your vehicle.
1 Emergency Towing
NOTICE
Trying to lift or tow your vehicle by the bumpers will
cause serious damage. The bumpers are not designed
to support the vehicle's weight.
Make sure the parking brake is released. If you
cannot release the parking brake, your vehicle must
be transported by the flatbed equipment.

NOTICE
Improper towing such as towing behind a
motorhome or other motor vehicle can damage the
transmission.
Never tow your vehicle with just a rope or chain.
It is very dangerous since ropes or chains may shift
from side to side or break.

Information
Replacement Battery Limited Warranty – provides prorated coverage for a
replacement battery purch ased from your dealer.
Replacement Muffler Lifeti me Limited Warranty – provides coverage for as
long as the purchaser of the muffler owns the vehicle.
Restrictions and exclusions apply to all these warranties. Please read the Acura
warranty information booklet that came with your vehicle for precise information on
warranty coverages. Your vehicle’s original tires are covered by their manufacturer.
Tire warranty information is in a separate booklet.
■Statement on Warranty Coverage for Aftermarket and Recycled Parts
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Ac t, 15 U.S.C. s.2301 et seq., makes it illegal for
motor vehicle manufacturers to void a motor vehicle warranty or deny warranty
coverage solely because an aftermarket or recycled part has been used to repair the
vehicle or someone other than the authoriz ed service provider performed service on
the vehicle.
This provision does not apply to a ne w motor vehicle purchased solely for
commercial or industrial use.

Information
Under federal law, a manufacturer may de ny warranty coverage and charge for
repairs to a vehicle if it is discovered that an aftermarket or recycled part installed on
the vehicle is defective or was installed incorrectly and caused damage to another
part of the vehicle otherwise covered under warranty.
The Federal Trade Commission requires th at a manufacturer demonstrate that an
aftermarket or recycled part or serv ice performed by a person other than an
authorized service provider caused damage to another part of the vehicle otherwise
covered under warranty before denying warranty coverage.
Additionally, federal law allows a manufactur er to void a motor vehicle warranty or
deny warranty coverage if the manufactur er provides the article or service to
consumers free of charge under the warra nty or the manufacturer has secured a
waiver from the Federal Trade Commission.
