On Canadian models, this indicator
comes on with reduced brightness
when the daytime running lights
(DRL) are on (see page ).
This indicator comes on when you
turn on the f og lights. For more
inf ormation, see page .
This indicator comes on when you
turn on the cruise control system by
pressing the CRUISE button on the
steering wheel (see page ).This indicator is in the f uel gauge. It
comesonasareminderthatyou
must ref uel soon. You will also see a
‘‘FUEL LOW’’ message on the multi-
inf ormation display (see page ).
When the indicator comes on, there
is about 2.3 U.S. gal (8.6
)of fuel
remaining in the tank bef ore the
needle reaches E. This indicator comes on when there
is a system message on the multi-
inf ormation display. Press the INFO
button on the steering wheel (see
page ) to see the message (see
page ).
Most of the time, this indicator
comes on along with other indicators
in the instrument panel such as the
seat belt reminder indicator, SRS
indicator, VSA system indicator, etc.
This indicator comes on with the
high beam headlights. For more
inf ormation, see page .

Canadian models onlyThis message comes on when you
set the cruise control. The Cruise
Control indicator in the instrument
panel will also come on. See pagef or inf ormation on cruise control
operation.
If there is a problem in the high
beam headlight’s circuit, you will see
‘‘CHECK DRL SYSTEM’’ on the
multi-inf ormation display. If you see
this message, have your vehicle
checked by your dealer. You can receive or make phone calls
f rom your cell phone through your
vehicle’s Bluetooth
HandsFreeLink(HFL) system
without touching your cell phone.

Accelerate to the desired cruising
speedabove25mph(40km/h).
Cruise control allows you to maintain
asetspeedabove25mph(40km/h)
without keeping your f oot on the
accelerator pedal. It should be used
f or cruising on straight, open
highways. It is not recommended f or
city driving, winding roads, slippery
roads, heavy rain, or bad weather.
Pushthecruisecontrolmaster
buttononthesteeringwheel.The
CRUISE MAIN indicator in the
instrument panel comes on.Press and release the SET/
DECELbuttononthesteering
wheel. The ‘‘CRUISE CONTROL’’
message appears on the multi-
inf ormation display to show the
system is now activated.

Push on the accelerator pedal.
Accelerate to the desired cruising
speed and press the SET/DECEL
button.
To increase the speed in very
small amounts, tap the RES/
ACCEL button. Each time you do
this, your vehicle will speed up
about 1 mph (1.6 km/h).
You can decrease the set cruising
speed in any of these ways: Press and hold the SET/DECEL
button. Release the button when
you reach the desired speed.
To slow down in very small
amounts, tap the SET/DECEL
button repeatedly. Each time you
do this, your vehicle will slow
down about 1 mph (1.6 km/h).
Cruise control may not hold the set
speed when you are going up and
down hills. If your speed increases
going down a hill, use the brakes to
slow down. This will cancel cruise
control. To resume the set speed,
press the RES/ACCEL button. The
‘‘CRUISE CONTROL’’ message on
the multi-information display will
come back on.
You can increase the set cruising
speed in any of these ways:
Press and hold the RES/ACCEL
button. When you reach the
desired cruising speed, release the
button. Tap the brake or clutch pedal
lightly with your f oot. The
‘‘CRUISE CONTROL’’ message on
the multi-information display goes
out. When the vehicle slows to the
desired speed, press the SET/
DECEL button.
Even with cruise control turned on,
you can still use the accelerator
pedal to speed up f or passing. Af ter
completing the pass, take your foot
of f the accelerator pedal. The vehicle
will return to the set cruising speed.
Resting your f oot on the brake or
clutch pedal causes cruise control to
cancel.

You can cancel cruise control in any
of these ways:Tap the brake or clutch pedal.
Push the CANCEL button on the
steering wheel.
Pushthecruisecontrolmaster
button. When you push the CANCEL button,
or tap the brake or clutch pedal, the
system remembers the previously
set cruising speed. To return to that
speed, accelerate to above 25 mph
(40 km/h) then press and release
the RES/ACCEL button. The
‘‘CRUISE CONTROL’’ message on
the multi-information display comes
on, and the vehicle accelerates to the
same cruising speed as bef ore. Pressing the cruise control master
button turns the system off and
erases the previous cruising speed.

Then drive in city/suburban
traffic for at least 10 minutes.
When traf f ic conditions allow, let
the vehicle coast f or several
seconds without using the
accelerator pedal or the brake
pedal.
If the testing f acility determines the
readiness codes are still not set, see
your dealer.
Select a nearby lightly traveled
major highway where you can
maintain a speed of 50 to 60 mph
(80to97km/h)foratleast20
minutes. Drive on the highway in
D (automatic) or 6th (manual). Do
notusethecruisecontrol.When
traffic allows, drive for 90 seconds
without moving the accelerator
pedal. (Vehicle speed may vary
slightly; this is okay.) If you cannot
do this f or a continuous 90
seconds because of traf f ic
conditions, drive f or at least 30
seconds, then repeat it two more
times (for a total of 90 seconds).
Make sure the vehicle has been
parked with the engine of f f or 30
minutes.
