The main functions that can be activated with the electronic key or with the emergency metals insert are the following:
(*) On certain versions it is possible to set the option “Unlocking front door only” through the “Setup Menu” (see paragraph “Reconfigurable multifunction
display” in this section). In this case pressing button
Áand turning the metal insert of the electronic key counter-clockwise will unlock the driver’s door
only. To unlock all the doors, press twice button
Ëwithin 1 second or turn twice the metal insert of the electronic key counter-clockwise.
IMPORTANTWindow and sunroof opening operations are a consequence of a door unlocking control. Window and sunroof closing operations are a con-
sequence of a door locking control.

be opened by pulling string set on the
right side of the boot fig. 109.

FUEL FILLER CAP
The fuel filler cap is unlocked when cen-
tral door locking is off and it is auto-
matically locked when activating the
central door locking. To open the fuel
filler cap, operate as shown by the ar-
row infig. 107.
The fuel filler cap is A-fig. 108 fitted
with an antiloss device Bwhich fastens
it to the flap Cso it cannot be mislaid.

Do not put naked
flames or lighted ciga-
rettes near the fuel filler hole
as there is danger of fire. Do
not bend too close to the hole
either so as not to breathe in
harmful vapours.
WARNING
When refuelling, position the cap on the
device inside the flap as shown in the
figure.
IMPORTANTThe sealing of the tank
may cause light pressurising in the tank.
A little breathing off, while slackening
the cap, is absolutely normal.

❒sight inspect the conditions of: en-
gine, gearbox, transmission, pipes
and hoses (exhaust - fuel - brakes),
rubber parts (boots, sleeves, bushes,
etc.);
❒check battery charge;
❒visual check on various drive belt con-
ditions;
❒check and top up, if required, fluid
levels (engine coolant, brake fluid,
windscreen washer fluid, power steer-
ing fluid, battery fluid, etc);
❒ change engine oil and oil filter (petrol
versions);
❒change engine oil and oil filter, if re-
quired (diesel versions);
❒ replace pollen filter.
ADDITIONAL
CHECKS
Every 1,000 km or before long jour-
neys, check and top up if required:
❒engine coolant fluid level;
❒brake fluid level;
❒windscreen washer fluid level;
❒ tyre pressure and conditions.
Every 3,000 km check and top up if re-
quired: engine oil level.
You are recommended to use FL Se-
leniaproducts, designed and produced
specifically for Alfa Romeo cars (see
table “Capacities” in section “Techni-
cal specifications”).
ANNUAL INSPECTION
SCHEDULE
For cars with an annual mileage of be-
low 30,000 km (for example about
15,000 km) the following Annual In-
spection Schedule is advised:
❒check tyre conditions/wear and ad-
just pressure if required (including the
spare wheel);
❒check light system operation (head-
lights, direction indicators, hazard
lights, boot lights, passenger com-
partment lights, glovebox light, warn-
ing lights, etc.);
❒ check windscreen wiper/washer op-
eration;
❒check windscreen/rear window blade
position/wear;
❒check front disk brake pad conditions
and wear;
❒check cleanness of bonnet and boot
locks and lever cleanness and lubri-
cation;
