There are two settings in the lighting
setup:INTERIOR LIGHT
DIMMING TIME
HEADLIGHT AUTO OFF TIMER
While CUSTOMIZE GROUP is
shown on the multi-inf ormation
display, select LIGHTING SETUP by
pressing the INFO ( / ) button,
then press the SEL/RESET button.
Each time you press the INFO ( / ) button, the screen changes as
shown in the illustration. Press the
INFO ( / ) button until you see
the setting you want to customize,
then press the SEL/RESET button
to enter your selection.

While LIGHTING SETUP is shown
in the CUSTOMIZE GROUP of the
multi-inf ormation display, press the
SEL/RESET button. You will see the
above display.
Press the SEL/RESET button. The
screen changes as shown above.
Select how long you want the lights
to stay on bef ore they f ade out (15,
30, or 60 seconds) by pressing the
INFO ( / ) button, then press the
SEL/RESET button to enter your
selection.
The interior lights f ade out when you
close all doors. You can change the
time that the interior lights fade out.

DIMMING TIME without changing
the current setting, select EXIT by
pressing the INFO ( / ) button,
then press the SEL/RESET button.
The screen goes back to
CUSTOMIZE MENU.
When your choice is set, you will see
the above display f or several seconds,
then the screen goes back to
CUSTOMIZE MENU.
If your choice is not set, you will see
the above display f or several seconds,
then the screen goes back to
CUSTOMIZE MENU. If this
happens, you need to repeat the

Push the right lever up or down to
select a position. The wipers run at high
speed until you release the lever.
The wipers are not activated.

Windshield washers The length of the wiper
interval is varied automatically
according to the vehicle’s speed.
Vary the delay by turning the INT
TIME ring. If you turn it to the
shortest delay, the wiper speed will
increase to low speed operation
when the vehicle speed exceeds 12
mph (20 km/h).
While the vehicle is stopped and in
gear, the wipers sweep the
windshield whenever you remove
your f oot f rom the brake pedal. The wipers run at low speed.
The wipers run at high speed. Pull the
wiper control lever toward you,
andholdit.Thewashersspray
until you release the lever. The
wipers run at low speed, then
complete one more sweep af ter
you release the lever.

Youshouldhavereceivedakey
number tag with your keys. You will
need this key number if you ever
have to get a lost key replaced. Use
only Acura-approved key blanks.
These keys contain electronic
circuits that are activated by the
immobilizer system. They will not
work to start the engine if the
circuits are damaged.Protect the keys f rom direct
sunlight, high temperature, and
high humidity.
Donotdropthekeysorsetheavy
objects on them.
Keep the keys away f rom liquids.
If they get wet, dry them
immediately with a sof t cloth.
The valet key does not contain a
battery. Do not try to take it apart. The master key can be retracted into
theremotetransmitter.Tousethe
key, push the release button to
release the key f rom the transmitter.
The key should be f ully extended.
To retract the key, push the release
buttonandatthesametimepushthe
key into the remote transmitter until
it is securely latched.Always use the f ully-extended key
when you insert it to the ignition
switch. If the key does not f ully
extend, the immobilizer system may
not operate properly and prevents
f rom starting the engine.
Thekeymaycomeincontactwith
your f inger while being retracted or
extended. Make sure your f ingers do
not touch the pivot of the key when

To open the tailgate, press and hold
the switch, then lift up.To close the tailgate, hold the
tailgate handle, lower the tailgate,
then press down on the back edge.
Keep the tailgate closed at all times
while driving to avoid damaging the
tailgate and to prevent exhaust gas
f rom getting into the interior. See
on page
.
The tailgate will lock when you lock
the driver’s door, and will unlock
when you unlock all doors.
You can change the ‘‘DOOR LOCK
MODE’’ setting on the multi-
inf ormation display (see page ).

When you press the UNLOCK
button, the ceiling lights (if the f ront
and rear ceiling light switches are in
the door activated position) will
come on. If you do not open any door,
the lights stay on for about 30
seconds, then f ade out. If you relock
the doors with the remote
transmitter before 30 seconds have
elapsed, the lights go of f
immediately.
Press this button once to
lock all doors and the tailgate. Some
exterior lights will f lash. When you
push LOCK twice within 5 seconds,
you will hear a beep to verify that the
doors and tailgate are locked and the
security system has set. This button
does not work if any door or tailgate
is not f ully closed.
To change the ‘‘KEYLESS LOCK
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT’’ setting,
see page . Press this button once
to unlock the driver’s door. Push it
twice to unlock the other doors.
Some exterior lights will f lash twice
when you push the button. If you do
not open any door or the tailgate
within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock.

Each f ront and rear ceiling light has
a three-position switch.
Front ceiling lights:
In the ‘‘ ’’ position, both f ront
and rear ceiling lights are on all the
time except when the rear ceiling
light switch is in the OFF position.In the ‘‘ ’’ position, both f ront
and rear ceiling lights are of f all the
time.
With the f ront ceiling lights switch in
this position, the rear ceiling light
does not work, and both f ront and
rear ceiling lights do not come on
when you open any door.
Rear ceiling light:
You can use the rear ceiling light
independently. In the OFF position,
the light does not come on even if
the f ront ceiling light switch is in the
‘‘ ’’ position. In the ON position,
the light stays on continuously
except when the f ront ceiling light
switch is in the ‘‘ ’’ position.

Open any door.
Remove the key from the ignition
switch.
Unlock the doors with the key,
locktabonthedriver’sdoor,
master door lock switch, or
remote transmitter.
After all doors are closed tightly, the
light(s) dims slightly, then f ades out
in about 30 seconds. If you do not open any door af ter
unlocking the driver’s door or
removing the key from the ignition
switch, the light(s) f ade out in about
30 seconds. If you leave any door
open without the key in the ignition
switch, the light(s) will go of f af ter 3
minutes.
You can use the f ront ceiling lights
whenever the lights are of f .
To turn a light on or of f , push its lens.
In the door activated position, both
f ront and rear ceiling lights come on
when you:
