To pause a disc, press the
corresponding number of the
current disc on the appropriate side
of the preset bars. To play the disc
again, press the preset bar again.
If you turn the system of f while a CD
is playing, either with the PWR/VOL
knob or by turning off the ignition
switch, the disc will stay in the drive.
When you turn the system back on,
the CD will begin playing where it
left off.Press and hold the eject button until
you hear a beep to remove all the
discs from the changer.
You can also eject discs when the
ignition switch is of f by pressing the
eject button. The disc that was last
selected is ejected f irst. You can
eject the rest of the discs one at a
time.

To take the system out of CD mode,
press the AM or FM, CD/AUX, or
button. To return to CD
mode, press the CD/AUX button.
The system will continue at the same
point that it left off. To remove the disc that is currently
playing, press and release the eject
( ) button. You will see
‘‘EJECT’’ on the center display.
When you remove the disc f rom the
slot, the system begins the load
sequence so you can load another
disc in that position. If you do not
load another CD within 10 seconds,
the system selects the previous
mode (AM, FM1, FM2, or XM).
If you do not remove the CD f rom
the slot, the system will reload the
CD af ter 10 seconds and put the CD
changer in pause mode. To begin
playing the CD, press the CD/AUX
button.
To remove a dif f erent CD f rom the
changer, select it with the
appropriate side of the preset bar.
When that CD begins playing, press
the eject button.

µµThe scan f unction gives
you a sampling of all channels while
in the channel mode. In the category
mode, only the channels within that
category are scanned. To activate
scan, press the SCAN button. The
system plays each channel in
numerical order f or a f ew seconds,
then selects the next channel. When
you hear a channel you want to
continue listening to, press the
button again. To store a channel: Pick a preset number f or the
channel you want to store. Press
and hold the appropriate side of
the preset bar until you hear a
beep.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to store the
f irst six channels.
Press the button again.
The other XM band will be shown.
Store the next six channels by
repeating steps 2 and 3.
Once a channel is stored, press and
release the proper side of the preset
bar to tune to it.

µ Use the TREBLE/
BASS modes to adjust the tone to
your liking. You can adjust each
mode in levels between 6 and 6.
These two
modes adjust the strength of the
sound coming f rom each speaker.
BALANCE adjusts the side-to-side strength, while FADER adjusts the
front-to-back strength. BALANCE
can be adjusted in levels between L9
and R9. FADER can be adjusted in
levels between F9 and R9. When
FADER adjustment level reaches F9,
the subwoof er speaker will be turned
of f .
Eachmodeisshownonthecenter
display as it changes. Turn the
PWR/VOL knob to adjust the setting
to your liking. When the level
reaches the center, you will see
‘‘ ’’ on the center display. The
system will automatically return the
display to the selected audio mode
about 5 seconds af ter you stop
adjusting a mode.
Press the SOUND/CLOCK button
repeatedly to display the BASS,
TREBLE, FADER, BALANCE,

Use the
SUBWOOFER mode to adjust the
strength of the sound f rom the
subwoof er speaker. Turn the PWR/
VOL knob to the desired level ( 6
to 6). Even if the adjustment level
reaches 6, the subwoof er is not
turned off. You can use the instrument panel
brightness control knob to adjust the
illumination of the audio system (see
page ). The audio system
illuminates when the parking lights
are on, even if the system is turned
of f .
The SVC
mode controls the volume based on
vehicle speed. The f aster you go, the
louder the audio volume becomes.
As you slow down, the audio volume
decreases.
The SVC has f our modes; SVC OFF,
SVC LOW, SVC MID, and SVC
HIGH. The def ault setting is MID.

You can operate the audio system
with the control buttons on the CD
changer unit without displaying the
audio control display on the
navigation display. The audio setting
will be shown on the upper display.
The audio system f or your vehicle
can also be operated by voice control.
See the navigation section in your
quick start guide f or an overview of
this system, and the navigation
system manual f or complete details.
Most audio system f unctions can still
be controlled by standard buttons,
bars, and knob, but some f unctions
can only be accessed using the
interf ace dial. The interf ace dial has
two parts, a knob and a selector. When you operate the audio system
with the interface dial, press the
AUDIObuttononthecontrolpanel
to display the audio control on the
navigation display.
The knob turns lef t and right. Use it
to make selections or adjustments to
a list or menu on the screen.
The selector can be pushed lef t,
right, up, down, and in. Use the
selector to scroll through lists, to
select menus, and to highlight menu
items. When you make a selection,
push the center of the selector
(ENTER)togotothatselection.

µTo activate AUTO SELECT, press
the AUDIO button to view the audio
control display. Push the interf ace
selector down to scroll down the
display, turn the knob to A. SEL,
then press ENTER on the interf ace
selector. You will see ‘‘AUTO SEL’’
f lashing in the audio control display,
and ‘‘A. SEL’’ on the upper display.
Then, the system goes into scan
mode f or several seconds.
If you are
traveling far from home and can no
longer receive your preset stations,
you can use the auto select feature to
find stations in the local area. If you do not like the stations auto
select has stored, you can store
other f requencies on the preset
buttons (icons) as previously
described.
The system stores the f requencies of
six AM and twelve FM stations in
the preset buttons. To turn of f auto select, press
ENTER on the interf ace selector
again. This restores the presets you
originally set.
You will see ‘‘0’’ displayed if auto
select cannot f ind a strong station f or

You will see ‘‘FOLDER REPEAT’’ on
the audio control display. To turn off
this f eature, select f older repeat,
then press ENTER again.
This feature,
when activated, replays all the f iles
in the selected f older in the order
they are compressed in MP3/WMA.
To activate f older repeat, press the
AUDIO button to view the display,
then push down the selector on the
interface dial. Rotate the interface
dial to select f older repeat. Press
ENTER on the selector to enter your
selection. The scan f unction samples
all tracks (f iles in a f older in MP3 or
WMA mode) on the disc in the order
they are recorded on the disc. To
activate scan, press and release the
SCAN button. You will also see
‘‘SCAN’’ and the track/f ile number
blinking on the upper display. To
hear the rest of the track/f ile, press

than 2 seconds. If you don’t, the
system advances to the next track/
f ile, plays about 10 seconds of it, and

The folder scan
f unction samples the f irst f ile of each
f older on the current disc in the
