selection by pressing the SEL/
RESET button.
When you turn the ignition switch to
LOCK (0) and release it, or remove
the built-in key f rom the ignition
switch, the steering wheel
automatically moves f ully in and up.
You can turn this feature on or off.
To exit this mode without changing
the current settings, select EXIT,
and press the SEL/RESET button.
When you unlock the doors by
pressing the button on the remote or
by grabbing the driver’s door handle
while carrying the remote, the
driver’s ID (Driver 1 or Driver 2) is
recognized, and the driver’s seat, the
steering wheel, and the outside
mirror positions move to their
memorized positions.
You can turn this feature on or off. The conf irmation screen is shown
f or 2 seconds, then the CUSTOMIZE
ENTRY screen returns.

´The rear window def ogger clears f og,
frost,andthinicefromthewindow.
Push the def ogger button to turn it
onandoff.Pushingthisbuttonalso
turns the mirror heaters on and of f .
The indicator in the button comes on
to show the def ogger is on. If you do
not turn it of f , the def ogger will shut
itself of f af ter 5 to 40 minutes
(depending on the ambient
temperature). It also shuts of f when
you turn of f the ignition switch. You have to turn it on again when you
restart the vehicle.
Make sure the rear window is clear
and you have good visibility bef ore
starting to drive.
The def ogger and antenna wires on
the inside of the rear window can be
accidentally damaged. When
cleaning the glass, always wipe side
to side.
To reduce glare at night, the
instrument panel illumination dims
when you turn the light switch to
or . To cancel the glare
reduction f unction, set the
brightness to the highest level, then
press the button. You will hear a

The inside mirror can automatically
darken to reduce glare. To turn on
this feature, press the button on the
bottom of the mirror. The AUTO
indicator comes on as a reminder.
When it is on, the mirror darkens
when it senses the headlights of a
vehicle behind you, then returns to
normal visibility when the lights are
gone. Press the button again to turn
of f this sensing.

Move the selector switch to L
(driver’s side) or R (passenger’s
side).
Push the appropriate edge of the
adjustment switch to move the
mirrorright,left,up,ordown.When you f inish, move the
selector switch to the center (off)
position. This turns of f the
adjustment switch so you can’t
move a mirror out of position by
accidentally bumping the switch.
Depending on the position of the
selector switch, the lef t or right side
mirror will pivot downward slightly
when you shif t the transmission into
reverse. In the lef t position, the lef t
mirror pivots. In the right position,
the right mirror pivots. This gives
you a better view of that side of the
vehicle while parallel parking. The
mirror returns to its original position
when you take the transmission out
of reverse. To turn this f eature of f ,
leave the switch in the center
position.
Outside mirror positions can be
stored in the driving position
memory system (see page ). The outside mirrors are heated to
remove fog and frost. With the
ignition switch in the ON (II)
position, turn on the heaters by
pressing the button. The indicator in
the button comes on as a reminder.
Press the button again to turn the
heaters off. Pressing this button also
turns the rear window def ogger on
and off.

Store a driving position only when
the vehicle is parked.Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
You cannot add a new driving
position in the memory unless the
ignition switch is in the ON (II)
position. You can recall a
memorized position with the
ignition switch in any position.
Adjust the steering wheel to a
comf ortable position (see page ).
Adjust the outside mirrors f or best
visibility (see page ). Adjust the seat to a comfortable
position (see page ).
Your vehicle has a memory feature
f or the steering wheel, driver’s seat,
and outside mirror positions.
Two seat, steering wheel, and
outside mirror positions can be
stored in separate memories. You
select a memorized position by
pushing the appropriate button.
Press the MEMO button on the
driver’s door. You will hear a beep.
The indicator in the memory
buttons (1 and 2) will blink.
Immediately press one of the
memory buttons (1 or 2) until you
hear two beeps. The indicator in
the memory button will stay on.
The current positions of the
driver’s seat, steering wheel, and
outside mirrors are now stored.
