Here are the settings activated with
the remote:Driving position memory

When you unlock the door with your
remote, each remote activates the
keyless memory settings related to
that remote. The driver’s ID (Driver
1orDriver2)isshownontheback
of each remote. Compass system pref erences
(see page ).
To turn of f this f eature, press and
hold the LOCK and UNLOCK
buttonsatthesametime.TheLED in the remote will blink once. Then
release the buttons. Doing this
cancels the keyless memory settings
f or that remote and restores the
def ault settings.
Navigation system pref erences
(see the navigation system
manual). Some of them keep the same
settings as they were set previously.
To turn the keyless memory settings
back on, repeat this procedure. The
LED will blink twice to indicate the
f eature has been turned on.
If you lose a transmitter, the
replacement needs to be
reprogrammed by your dealer.
Do not immerse the transmitter in
any liquid.
Protect the transmitter from
extreme temperature.
Avoid dropping or throwing the
transmitter.

Many climate control f unctions can
still be controlled by standard
buttons, dials, and knobs, but some
f unctions can only be accessed using
the interf ace dial. The interf ace dial
has two parts, a knob and a selector.
The knob turns lef t and right. Use it
to make selections or adjustments to
a list or menu on the screen.The selector can be pushed lef t,
right, up, down, and in. Use the
selector to scroll through lists, to
select menus, and to highlight menu
items. When you make a selection,
push the center of the selector
(ENTER)togotothatselection.
When you unlock the doors with
your remote, the driver’s ID (Driver
1orDriver2)isdetected,andthe
climate control settings are turned to
therespectivemodeautomatically
when the ignition is turned to the

Most audio system f unctions can still
be controlled by standard buttons,
dials, and knobs, but some f unctions

interf ace dial. The interf ace dial has

You can use any of f ive methods to
f ind radio stations on the selected
band: the
preset buttons, and .
The ignition switch must be in the
ACCESSORY (I) or the ON (II)
position. Press the AUDIO button to
view the audio control display. Turn
the system on by pressing the
power/volume knob or the AM/FM
button (AM or FM button on
Canadian and Hawaiian models).
Adjust the volume by turning the
power/volume knob. The band and f requency that the
radio was last tuned to are shown on
the display. To change bands, press
the AM/FM button (AM or FM
buttonHawaiianmodels).Youcan
also change bands between FM1 and
FM2 by pushing the interf ace
selector up. Each time you push it up,
the band will change to FM1 or FM2.
On the FM bands, STEREO will be
shown on the navigation screen and
ST on the upper display, if the
stationisbroadcastinginstereo.
Stereo reproduction on AM is not
available.
Use the TUNE bar to tune
the radio to a desired f requency.
Press the right side of the bar to
tune to a higher f requency, or the
lef t side to tune to a lower f requency.
To tune with the interf ace dial, push
the selector down, and turn the knob
to TUNE icon. Then press ENTER
on the selector, and turn the knob to
the desired f requency. To exit the
TUNE mode, press ENTER on the
selector, then push the selector up.

Push down the selector knob to
display the audio menu. Turn the
selector knob to select NOTE, then
press ENTER.
To replay and see the stored file,
press the AUDIO button to select
the audio display on the navigation
screen.Turn the selector knob to select a
sound f ile, then press ENTER. The
display shows the category, name
and title inf ormation of the selected
f ile.
To delete a f ile, select it by turning
the selector knob, then push it to the
right. Select ‘‘Delete All’’ or ‘‘Delete
Selected Item,’’ then press ENTER.
Once you store the recorded sound
f ile, you can replay it and conf irm the
inf ormation. The system can store
up to 30 sound f iles. If you continue
tostoremorefiles,theoldestone
will be deleted each time you add
new f ile.
The f unction records f or about 10
seconds, enough f or you to identif y
the selection when you play it back.
To activate this function, press and
hold the button for about 2
seconds while a song or passage
which you want to store is playing.
This f unction stores the sound
content played on the selected
satellite radio station with the
channel, category, name and title
inf ormation.

This audio system can operate the
audio f iles on the iPod
with the
same controls used f or the in-dash
disc changer. To play an iPod,
connect it to the USB adapter cable
in the console compartment by using
your dock connector, then press the
DISC/AUX button. The ignition
switch must be in the ACCESSORY
(I) or ON (II) position. The iPod will
also be recharged with the ignition
switch in these positions. The audio system reads and plays
playable sound f iles on the iPod. The
system cannot operate an iPod as a
mass storage device. The system will
only play songs stored on the iPod
with iTunes.
iPod and iTunes are registered
trademarks owned by Apple Inc.
You can select the AUX mode by
using the navigation system voice
control buttons, but cannot operate
theplaymodefunctions.iPods that are compatible with your
audio system are listed below.
Use the latest f irmware.
Use only compatible iPods with the

compatible will not work in this audio

ÎThe current f ile number and total of
the selected playable f iles are
displayed in the upper display.
Pressing the AUDIO button displays
the artist, album and track (f ile)
names on the navigation screen.
When the iPod is connected and the
iPod mode is selected on the audio
display, the USB and iPod indicators
areshowninthedisplay.After
loading, you will see the Acura logo
on the iPod. That means you can
only operate your iPod using the
vehicle’s audio unit. Itmaytakeafewminutesfor
the Acura logo to display on the
iPod. If the display does not
change, this f unction is not
supported on your iPod model
or f irmware.
If the audio system still does not
recognize the iPod, the iPod may
need to be reset. Follow the
instructions that came with your
iPod, or you can f ind reset
instructions online at

connections, and try to reconnect the

Use the SKIP bar while an iPod is
playing to select passages and
change f iles.
Each time you press and
releasethe sideof theSKIPbar,
the system skips forward to the
beginning of the next f ile. Press and
releasethe sideof thebar,to
skip backward to the beginning of
the current f ile. Press it again to skip
to the beginning of the previous file. You can also change files with the
interf ace dial. Press the AUDIO
button to show the audio control
display on the navigation screen.
Push the selector to the right side to
skip forward and to the left side to
skip backward.
To move rapidly f orward or
backward within a track, press and
hold the / or /
button. You can also select a file from any of
the iPod menus: playlists, artists,
albums and songs, by using the
interf ace dial. Press the AUDIO
button to display the audio control
display on the navigation screen.
Push up the interf ace selector to
display the iPod menu. Turn the
knob on the interf ace dial to select a
desired list.
