●Appears when the starter system has a problem.
●As a temporary measure, press and hold the ENGINE
START/STOP button for 15 seconds while
depressing the brake pedal and manually start the
engine.
Have the vehicle checked by a dealer.

weak to start the engine or the key is not within
operating range to start the engine.
A beeper sounds six times.
●Bring the keyless access remote in front of the
ENGINE START/STOP button to be touched with.

Using the Remote Transmitter
1Locking/Unlocking the Doors from the Outside
You can lock or unlock doors using the remote
transmitter or keyless access system only when the
power mode is in VEHICLE OFF.1Using the Remote Transmitter
If you do not open a door within 30 seconds of
unlocking the vehicle with the remote transmitter,
the doors will automatically relock.
You can change the relock timer setting.

If the interior light switch is in the door activated
position, the interior lights come on when you press
the unlock button.
No doors opened: The lights fade out after 30

Doors relocked with the remote: The lights go off

1Using the Keyless Access System•Even within the 32 inches (80 cm) radius, you may
not be able to lock/unlock the doors with the
keyless access remote if it is above or below the
outside handle.•The keyless access remote may not operate if it is
too close to the door and door glass.
If you do not open a door within 30 seconds of
unlocking the vehicle, the doors will automatically
relock.
When you go into the front side of the keyless access
system working range with all the doors locked, the
front and rear
* door outer handle ambient lights
come on for 30 seconds.
The lights do not come on if you have previously
stayed within the range for more than five minutes,
or the doors have been locked for a few days.
The feature activates again after you drive the
vehicle, then lock the doors.
The light flash, beep and unlock settings can be
customized using the audio/information screen or
