This indicator comes on when you
turn the ignition switch to ON (II)
with the headlight switch off and the
parking brake set. It should go of f if
youturnontheheadlightsorrelease
the parking brake. If it comes on at
any other time, it means there is a
problem with the DRL. There may
also be a problem with the high
beam headlights.This indicator comes on when the
washer f luid level is low. Add washer
fluidwhenyouseethisindicator
come on (see page ).
This indicator reminds you that it is
time to take your vehicle in for
scheduled maintenance.

For the f irst 8,000 miles (12,800 km)
after the Maintenance Required
Indicator is reset, it will come on f or
2 seconds when you turn the ignition
switch to ON (II).
Between 8,000 miles (12,800 km)
and 10,000 miles (16,000 km), it will
come on f or 2 seconds when you
f irst turn the ignition switch to ON
(II), and then f lash f or 10 seconds.

Check the f luid level in the
windshield washer reservoir at
least monthly during normal use.Check the f luid level with the engine
at normal operating temperature.Park the vehicle on level ground.
Shut of f the engine.
Remove the dipstick (yellow loop)
f rom the transmission, and wipe it
with a clean cloth.
The low
washer level indicator will light
when the level is low.
Fill the reservoir with a good-
quality windshield washer f luid.
This increases the cleaning
capability and prevents f reezing in
cold weather.
When you ref ill the reservoir,
clean the edges of the windshield
wiper blades with windshield
washerfluidonacleancloth.This
will help to condition them. 1.

DIPSTICKDo not use engine antif reeze or a
vinegar/water solution in the
windshield washer reservoir. Antif reeze
can damage your vehicle’s paint, while
a vinegar/water solution can damage
the windshield washer pump. Use only
commercially-available windshield
washer f luid.
