Checking for proper seal
When there is no current, the Evaporative
Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve -
N80- is closed.

- Disconnect hoses from EVAP valve; harness
connector remains connected.

- Attach assisting hose to one connection of
EVAP valve.

- Connect VAS5051 tester or VAG1551 scan tool
and select control module for engine electronics
using "address word" 01 Page 01

. Ignition
must remain switched on.

- Initiate output DTM and activate Evaporative
Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve

If valve does not click:

- Check internal resistance of EVAP valve.
If valve does not open or close properly:

- Replace Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister
purge regulator valve -N80-.

Checking internal resistance

- Disconnect connector at EVAP valve.

If specified value is not obtained:
If specified value is obtained: - Connect multimeter at valve for resistance measurement.

Specification: 22 to 30
- Replace Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve -
