ingtheknobinthedesireddirection.Whenyou
moveoutofreverseandintoanothergear,the
newmirrorpositionisstoredandassignedtothe
keyyouareusing.
Themirrorgoesbackintoitsoriginalposition
onceyoudriveforwardfasterthan9mph
(15km/h)orturntheignitionoff.

Curvedmirrorsurfaces(convex)enlargethe
fieldofvision.However,theymakeobjectsin
themirrorappearsmallerandfartheraway.
Youmayestimateincorrectlywhenyouuse
thesemirrorstogaugeyourdistancefromthe
vehiclesbehindyouwhenchanginglanes,
whichincreasestheriskofanaccident.

Ifthemirrorhousingwasmovedbyoutside
forces(suchasanimpactwhenmaneuver-
ing),youmustuse thepowerfoldingfunction
tofoldthemirrorallthewayout.Themirror
housingmustnot bemovedbackintoplace

tionofthemirrormechanism.
