Locking The glove compartment can be locked with an
integrated key to separately secure the tailj gate, refer to page 60, for instance.
This prevents access to the glove compartj ment and to the cargo area.
After the glove compartment is locked, the rej
mote control can be handed over, such as at a
hotel, without the integrated key.

Folded open, the glove compartment
protrudes in the car's interior. Objects in the glove compartment can be thrown into thecar's interior while driving, for instance in theevent of an accident or during braking and evaj
