Forward/backward
Pull the lever and slide the seat in the desireddirection.
After releasing the lever, move the seat forj
ward or back slightly making sure it engages
properly.
Height
Pull the lever and apply your weight to the seat or lift it off, as necessary.
Backresttilt
Pull the lever and apply your weight to the
backrest or lift it off, as necessary.
Seattilt
Pull the lever and move the seat to the desired
tilt. After releasing the lever, apply your weight to the seat or lift it off to make sure the seat
engages properly.
Electricallyadjustableseats
Generalinformation
The seat setting for the driver's seat is stored
for the profile currently used. When the vehicle
is unlocked via the remote control, the position
is automatically retrieved if the function, refer to page 63, is activated for this purpose.
The current seat position can be stored using
the memory function, refer to page 77.

You can change the backrest width by adjustj
ing the side wings of the backrest.

Overview
Seat heating
Switchingon Press button once for each temperajture level.
The maximum temperature is reached when three LEDs are lit.
If the trip is continued within approx. 15 mij
nutes after a stop, seat heating is activated auj
tomatically with the temperature selected last.
When ECO PRO is activated, refer topage 216, the heater output is reduced.
Switchingoff Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.

buckles
The vehicle is fitted with five safety belts to enj
sure occupant safety. However, they can only offer protection when adjusted correctly.
The two outer safety belt buckles of the rear
seat are intended for the persons sitting on the
left and right.
The center safety belt buckle of the rear seat is
intended for the person sitting in the middle.
Generalinformation
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Alj
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for
safety belts.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
Use of a safety belt to buckle more than
one person will potentially defeat the ability of
the safety belt to serve its protective funcj
tion.There is a risk of injuries or danger to life.
Do not allow more than one person to wear a
single safety belt. Infants and children are not
allowed on an occupant's lap, but must be
transported and secured in designated child
restraint systems.'

2.Insert the tongue plate into the safety belt
buckle. The safety belt buckle must enj
gage audibly.

1.Hold the safety belt firmly.2.Press the red button in the belt buckle.3.Guide the safety belt back into its roll-up mechanism.

belts are positioned correctly. The
safety belt reminder can also be activated if
objects are placed on the front passenger seat.

A missing protective effect due to rej
moved or not correctly adjusted head rej straints can cause injuries in the head andneck area. There is a risk of injury.
'yBefore driving, install the removed head rej
straints on the occupied seats.'yAdjust the head restraint so its center supj ports the back of the head at as close to
eye level as possible.'yAdjust the distance so that the head rej straint is as close as possible to the back of
the head. Adjust the distance via the backj rest tilt as needed.'

SettheinclineThree different tilt positions are available.'yForward: pull the top edge of the head rej
straint forward, arrow 1.'yBack: press the button,arrow. 2. The head restraint folds as far back as possible.
Removing
Only remove the head restraint if no one will besitting in the seat in question.
1.Raise the head restraint up against the rej
sistance.2.Press the button, arrow 1, and pull the head restraint out completely.
Installing
Proceed in the reverse order to install the head
restraint.
Rearheadrestraints

After setting the height, move the head rej
straint up or down slightly, making sure it enj
gages properly.
Foldingdowntheheadrestraint
Only fold the head restraint back if no one will
be sitting in the seat in question.
'yTo the back: press the button, arrow 1, and
fold the head restraint back, arrow 2.'yForward: fold the head restraint toward the front as far as it will go. Make sure that thehead restraint engages correctly.
Removing
Only remove the head restraint if no one will besitting in the seat in question.
1.Raise the head restraint up against the rej
sistance.2.Press the button, arrow 1, and pull the head restraint out completely.
Installing
Proceed in the reverse order to install the head
restraint.
Memoryfunction Concept
The following settings can be stored and, if necessary, retrieved using the memory funcj tion:
'ySeat position.'yExterior mirror position.'yHeight of the Head-up Display.
Generalinformation
Two memory locations with different settings can be set for each driver profile, refer to
page 60.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the folj
lowing settings are not stored:
'yBackrest width.'yLumbar support.

Using the memory function while driving
can lead to unexpected movements of the
seat. Vehicle control could be lost. There is a
