Principle
Undercertainconditionstheengineisautomati#j callydecoupledfromthetransmissionintheDselectorleverposition.Thevehiclecontinues
travelingwiththeengineidlingtoreducecon#j
sumption.SelectorleverpositionDremainsen#j
gaged.Thisdrivingconditionisreferredtoas coasting.
Undercertainconditions,theenginewillnotbe
operatedatidlewhilecoastingbutswitchedoff
automaticallyinvehicleswithMild-Hybridtech#j nology.Whentheengineisswitchedoff,thelet#jteringREADYisdisplayedintheinstrumentclus#j
ter.Thevehiclecontinuestocoastwithout
consumingfuel.Thisdrivingconditionisreferred
toasengine-offcoasting.
Assoonasthebrakeoracceleratorpedalisde#j
pressed,theengineisautomaticallycoupledto
thetransmissionagain.
