on
front

new
gasket

Push
VANOS
piston
gear
cup
finto
VANOS
housing
until
it
bottoms
out
in
housing
.
Position
VANOS
control
unitinto
place,
but
do
not
engage
splines
on
gear
cup
.

up

Hand
turn
exhaust
sprocketcounterclockwise

only
enough

mesh
gear
cup
splines

camshaft
gear

Slowly
