Safetymeasures'yPark the vehicle as far away as possible
from passing traffic and on solid ground.'ySwitch on the hazard warning system.'ySecure the vehicle against rolling away by setting the parking brake.'yHave all vehicle occupants get out of thevehicle and ensure that they remain outjside the immediate area in a safe place,
such as behind a guardrail.'yIf necessary, set up a warning triangle or
portable hazard warning light at a sufficient
distance.'yChange wheels only on a flat, solid and slip-resistant surface. On soft or slippery
ground, for example snow, ice, tiles, etc.,
the vehicle or the vehicle jack may slip
away sideways.'yDo not place wood blocks or similar items under the vehicle jack; otherwise, it cannot
reach its carrying capacity because of the
restricted height.'yIf the vehicle is raised, do not lie under the vehicle and do not start the engine, or else
there is a danger to life.
MobilitySystem
Concept
With the Mobility System, minor tire damage can be sealed temporarily to enable continued
travel. To accomplish this, sealant is pumped
into the tires, which seals the damage from the inside.
The compressor can be used to check the tire inflation pressure.
Generalinformation'yFollow the instructions on using the Mobij lity System found on the compressor and
sealant container.'yUse of the Mobility System may be ineffecj
tive if the tire puncture measures approx.
1/8 inches/4 mm or more.'yContact a dealerss service center or anj other qualified service center or repair
shop if the tire cannot be made drivable.'yIf possible, do not remove foreign bodies that have penetrated the tire.'yPull the speed limit sticker off the sealant
container and apply it to the steering
wheel.'yThe use of a sealant can damage the TPM wheel electronics. In this case, have theelectronics checked and replaced at the
next opportunity.
Storage
The Mobility System is located under thecargo floor panel.

5.Screw the connection hose onto the tirevalve of the nonworking wheel.6.With the compressor switched off, insert
the plug into a power socket inside the vej
hicle.7.With the ignition turned on or the engine
running, switch on the compressor.
DANGER
If the exhaust pipe is blocked or ventilaj
tion is insufficient, harmful exhaust gases can
enter into the vehicle. The exhaust gases conj tain carbon monoxide, an odorless and colorjless but highly toxic gas. In enclosed areas, exj
haust gases can also accumulate outside of
the vehicle. There is danger to life. Keep the
exhaust pipe free and ensure sufficient ventilaj tion.'

Do not exceed a speed of 50 mph/80 km/h.If possible, do not drive at speeds less than
12 mph/20 km/h.
Correctingthetireinflationpressure1.Stop at a suitable location.2.Screw the connection hose onto the tire valve stem.3.Attach the connection hose directly to the
compressor.4.Insert the connector into the power socket
inside the vehicle.5.Correct the tire inflation pressure to
2.5 bar.'yIncrease pressure: with the ignition
turned on or the engine running, switch
on the compressor.'yTo reduce the pressure: press the butj ton on the compressor.
Continuingthetrip
Do not exceed the maximum permissible
speed of 50 mph/80 km/h.
Reinitialize the Flat Tire Monitor.
Reinitialize the Tire Pressure Monitor.
Replace the nonworking tire and the sealant
container of the Mobility System promptly.
Snowchains
Fine-linksnowchains
The manufacturer of your vehicle recommends use of fine-link snow chains. Certain types of
fine-link snow chains have been tested by the
manufacturer of the vehicle and recommended as road-safe and suitable.
Information regarding suitable snow chains is
available from a dealerss service center or anj other qualified service center or repair shop.
Use WARNING
With the mounting of snow chains on unj
suitable tires, the snow chains can come into
contact with vehicle parts. There is a risk of acj
cidents or risk of property damage. Only mount
snow chains on tires that are designated by
their manufacturer as suitable for the use of
snow chains.'

Make sure that the snow chains are always
sufficiently tight. Re-tighten as needed acj cording to the snow chain manufacturer's inj
structions.
Do not initialize the Flat Tire Monitor after
mounting snow chains, as doing so may result
in incorrect readings.
Do not initialize the Tire Pressure Monitor after mounting snow chains, as doing so may result
in incorrect readings.
When driving with snow chains, briefly activate
Dynamic Traction Control, if needed.
Maximumspeedwithsnowchains
Do not exceed a speed of 30 mph/50 km/h when using snow chains.
Changingwheels/tires Generalinformation When using run-flat tires or tire sealants, a tire
does not always need to be changed immedij ately in the event of pressure loss due to a flattire.
If needed, the tools for changing wheels are available as accessories from a dealerss service
center or another qualified service center or rej pair shop.
Safetyinformation WARNING
The jack, issued by the vehicle manufacj
turer, is provided in order to perform a wheel
change in the event of a breakdown. The jack
is not designed for frequent use; for example,
changing from summer to winter tires.. Using
the jack frequently may cause it to become
jammed or damaged. There is a risk of injury
and risk of damage to property. Only use the
jack to attach an emergency or spare wheel in
the event of a breakdown.'

Securingthevehicleagainstrolling
Generalinformation
The vehicle manufacturer recommends to adj
ditionally secure the vehicle against rolling
away when changing a wheel.
Onalevelsurface
Place chocks or other suitable objects, for exjample a rock, in front of and behind the wheel
that is diagonally opposite to the wheel that you wish to change.
Onaslightdownhillgradient
If you need to change a wheel on a slight downhill gradient, place chocks and other suitjable objects, for example a rock, under thewheels of both the front and rear axles against
the rolling direction.
