This chapter describes all standard, country- specific and optional features offered with theseries. It also describes features that are notnecessarily available in your vehicle, e. g., due
to the selected options or country versions.
This also applies to safety-related functions
and systems. When using these functions and systems, the applicable country provisions
must be observed.
Generalinformation
Observe the fuel recommendation, refer to
page 194, prior to refueling.
Safetyinformation NOTE
With a range of less than 30 miles/50 km
it is possible that the engine will no longer have sufficient fuel. Engine functions are not enjsured anymore. There is a risk of property
damage. Refuel promptly.'

WARNING
The retaining strap of the fuel cap can be
jammed and crushed during closing. The cap cannot be correctly closed. Fuel or fuel vapors
can escape. There is a risk of injury or risk of property damage. Pay attention that the retainj
ing strap is not jammed or crushed when closj ing the lid.'

Fuelrecommendation
Generalinformation Depending on the region, many gas stations
sell fuel that has been customized to winter or
summer conditions. Fuel that is available in
winter, e.g., helps make a cold start easier.
Gasoline
Generalinformation For the best fuel efficiency, the gasolineshould be sulfur-free or very low in sulfur conjtent.
Fuels that are marked on the gas pump as conj taining metal must not be used.
Fuels with a maximum ethanol content of
10 %, i. e., E10, may be used for refueling.
Ethanol should satisfy the following quality
standards:
US: ASTM 4806mxx
CAN: CGSB-3.511mxx
xx: comply with the current standard in each
case.Safetyinformation
NOTE
Do not press the Start/Stop button after
refueling with the wrong fuel. Furthermore, the
catalytic converter is permanently damaged.
There is a risk of property damage. Do not rej fuel or add the following in the case of gasoline
engines:'yLeaded gasoline.'yMetallic additives, e.g., manganese or iron.
