5Lumbar support6Backrest tilt, head restraint
Generalinformation
The seat adjustment for the driver's seat is
stored for the driver profile currently used. When the vehicle is unlocked via the remote
control, the position is automatically retrieved
if the function, refer to page 72, is activated for
this purpose.
The current seat position can be stored using the memory function, refer to page 89.
Forward/backward
Push switch forward or backward.
Height
Push switch up or down.

Move switch up or down.

Upperbackrestadjustment
Concept
The upper backrest supports the back in the
shoulder area. A correct setting leads to a rej laxed seating position and reduces strain onthe shoulder muscles.
Settings
Press the button on the respective side.
Safetybelts Numberofsafetybelts
The vehicle is fitted with five safety belts to enj sure occupant safety. Optimal protection isonly achieved if the safety belts are correctlyapplied.
The two outer safety belt buckles of the rear
seat are intended for the persons sitting on the
left and right.
The center safety belt buckle of the rear seat is
intended for the person sitting in the middle.
Generalinformation
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by the occupants before driving off. The
airbags supplement the safety belts as an adj
ditional safety device. The airbags are not a
substitute for safety belts.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
If the safety belt is used to buckle more
than one person, the protective effect of the
safety belt can no longer be ensured. There is
a risk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allow
more than one person to wear a single safety

belt. Infants and children are not allowed on anoccupant's lap, but must be transported andsecured in designated child restraint sysj

Safetymode
In critical situations, for instance during an emergency stop, the front safety belts tighten automatically.
If the situation passes without an accident ocj
curring, the belt tension relaxes.
If the belt tension does not loosen automatij
cally, stop the vehicle and unbuckle the safety belt using the red button in the safety beltbuckle. Fasten the safety belt before continujing on your trip.
Frontheadrestraints Generalinformation The current head restraint position can bestored using the memory function, refer to
page 89.
Correctlyadjustedheadrestraint Generalinformation
A correctly adjusted head restraint reduces the
risk of injury to cervical vertebrae in the event of an accident.
Height
Adjust the head restraint so that its center is
approximately at eye level.
Distance Adjust the distance so that the head restraint
is as close as possible to the back of the head.

A missing protective effect due to rej

The procedure stops when a switch for setting the seat is pressed or one of the memory butj

While driving, the seat position adjustment on the driver's side is interrupted after a short
time.

Depending on the program, the massage funcj
tion ensures relaxed muscles and better blood
circulation and can avoid fatigue.
