Concept
Comfort-oriented driving mode, whose tuning is automatically modified to the driving situation and driving style.
If the navigation system is active, upcoming road
sections are considered.
The function may be restricted if the navigation
data is invalid, outdated or not available, for exj
ample.
Switchingon Press button. ADAPTIVE is displayed inthe instrument cluster.

CheckControl
Concept
The Check Control system monitors functions in
the vehicle and notifies you of malfunctions in the monitored systems.
Generalinformation
A Check Control message is displayed as a comj
bination of indicator or warning lights and SMS
text messages in the instrument cluster and, if
applicable, in the Head-up Display.
In addition, an acoustic signal may sound and an
SMS text message may appear on the Control
Display.
Indicator/warninglights Concept
Indicator/warning lights in the instrument cluster display the status of some functions in the vehij
cle and indicate when a malfunction is present in the monitored systems.
Generalinformation The indicator/warning lights can light up in a varij
ety of combinations and colors.
Several of the lights are checked for proper funcj tioning and light up temporarily when drive-ready
state is switched on.
Redlights
Safetybeltreminder Indicator light flashes or is illuminated:
safety belt on the driver or passenger side is not buckled. The safety belt rej
minder can also be activated if objects are placed on the front passenger seat.
Make sure that the safety belts are positioned correctly.
Safetybeltreminderforrearseats The safety belt is not buckled on the corj

AirbagsystemAirbag system and belt tensioner are not
working.

Some Check Control messages are displayed continuously and are not cleared until the malj
function is eliminated. If several malfunctions ocj cur at once, the messages are displayed consecj
utively.
The messages can be hidden for approx. 8 secj onds. After this time, they are displayed again
automatically.
Temporarydisplay
Some Check Control messages are hidden autoj
matically after approx. 20 seconds. The Check
Control messages are stored and can be disj
played again later.

Depending on the vehicle equipment, the shift point indicators on the tachometer indicate the
maximum shift point at which the best possible
acceleration can be achieved.

Shift lights are shown when the SPORT or SPORT PLUS driving program is activated.
