Safetyswitch
Generalinformation
The following functions can be locked simultaj neously, using the switch:'yOpening and closing of the rear windowsusing the switches in the rear.'yOperation of the roller sunblinds using the
switches in the rear.'yAdjustment of the power rear seats.'yAdjustment of the power head restraints in the rear.
If an accident of a certain severity occurs, thesafety function is switched off automatically.
Switchingonandoff Press button.
The LED lights up if the safety funcj
tion is switched on.
Rollersunblinds
Generalinformation The safety switch in the driver's door can be
used to prevent children, for example, from opj
erating the roller sunblinds using the switches
in the rear.
Press the safety switch in the driver's door. The LED lights up if the safety function is
switched on.
If you are no longer able to move the roller sunj blinds after having activated them consecuj tively a number of times, the system is blockedfor a limited time to prevent overheating. Letthe system cool.
The roller sunblinds cannot be moved at low interior temperatures.

Panoramicglasssunroof
Generalinformation The glass sunroof and the sliding visor can be
operated together or separately using the
same switch.
The glass sunroof is operational when the ignij
tion is switched on.
Safetyinformation WARNING
Body parts can be jammed when operatj
ing the glass sunroof. There is a risk of injury.
Make sure that the area of movement of the
glass sunroof is clear during opening and closj ing.'

The sliding visor opens automatically. If thesliding visor is already fully open, the glasssunroof opens automatically.
The glass sunroof closes automatically. If the glass sunroof is already closed or in the
tilted position, the sliding visor closes auj
tomatically.
Pressing the switch upward stops the moj tion.

Briefly press the switch twice insuccession in the desired direcj tion past the resistance point.
The glass sunroof and sliding vij

Comfortposition
If the glass sunroof is not completely opened
automatically, the comfort position has been
attained. In this position the wind noises in the
interior are the least.
If desired, continue the movement by pressing
the switch.
Pinchprotectionsystem
Generalinformation If the closing force when closing the glass sunj
roof exceeds a certain value, the closing movej ment is stopped, beginning at approximately
the middle of the opening in the roof, or from
the tilted position during closing. The glass
sunroof reopens slightly.
Closingfromtheopenposition

If there is an external danger, proceed as folj
lows:1.Press the switch forward beyond the rej
sistance point and hold.
The pinch protection is limited and the
glass sunroof reopens slightly if the closing
force exceeds a certain threshold.2.Press the switch forward again beyond the resistance point and hold until the glass
sunroof closes without jam protection. Make sure that the closing area is clear.

The glass sunroof closes withj

Initializingafterapowerinterruption
Generalinformation After a power failure during the opening orclosing process, the glass sunroof can only be
operated to a limited extent.
The system can be initialized when the vehicle
is stationary and the engine is running.
During the initialization, the glass sunroof
closes without jam protection.
Make sure that the closing area is clear.

The seating position plays an important role in

Seat adjustments while driving can lead
to unexpected movements of the seat. Vehicle
control could be lost. There is a risk of an accij
dent. Only adjust the seat on the driver's side
when the vehicle is stationary.'

The seat setting for the driver's seat is stored
for the profile currently used. When the vehicle
is unlocked via the remote control, the position

Temperaturedistribution
The heating action in the seat cushion and
backrest can be distributed in different ways.

Theconcept The seat cushion and backrest surfaces are
cooled by means of integrated fans.
The ventilation cools the seat, e.g., if the vehij
cle interior is overheated or for continuous cooling at high temperatures.
Overview
Active seat ventilation
Switchingon Press button once for each ventilation
level.
The highest level is active when three LEDs are lit.
After a short time, the system automatically moves down one level in order to prevent exj
cessive cooling.

Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.

Safetybelts
Numberofsafetybelts
The vehicle is fitted with four or five safety
belts to ensure occupant safety. However, they can only offer protection when adjusted corjrectly.
The two outer safety belt buckles, integrated
into the rear seat, are for passengers sitting on the left and right.
The center rear safety belt buckle is solely inj tended for the center passenger.
Generalinformation
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Alj
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for
safety belts.
Slowly guide the safety belt out of the holder
when fastening it.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
If the safety belt is used by more than
one person, the protective effect of the safety belt cannot be ensured anymore. There is a
risk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allow
more than one person to wear a single safety
belt. Infants and children are not allowed on an
occupant's lap, but must be transported and respectively secured in designated child rej
straint systems.'
