crease the legroom in the rear.

the center armrest of the rear seats.

Safetybelts Numberofsafetybelts
The vehicle is fitted with four or five safety
belts to ensure occupant safety. However, they
can only offer protection when adjusted cor#j rectly.
The two outer safety belt buckles, integrated
into the rear seat, are for passengers sitting on
the left and right.
The center safety belt buckle of the rear seat is solely intended for the person sitting in the
middle.
Generalinformation
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Al#j
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for safety belts.
Slowly guide the safety belt out of the holder
when fastening it.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of ev#j
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
If the safety belt is used by more than
one person, the protective effect of the safety belt cannot be ensured anymore. There is a
risk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allow
more than one person to wear a single safety
belt. Infants and children are not allowed on an occupant's lap, but must be transported andrespectively secured in designated child re#j
straint systems.'

Rearbeltguide
When fastening the safety belts on the rear
seats, make sure that the belt guide loop is closed.
Safetybeltreminderfordriver'sseat andfrontpassengerseat
The indicator lamp lights up and a sig#j
nal sounds. Make sure that the safety
belts are positioned correctly. The
safety belt reminder is active at speeds above
approx. 6 mph/10 km/h. It can also be activated if objects are placed on the front passengerseat.
Safetymode In critical situations, e.g., during an emergencystop, the front safety belts tighten automati#j cally.
If the situation passes without an accident oc#j
curring, the belt tension relaxes.
If the belt tension does not loosen automati#j
cally, stop the vehicle and unbuckle the safety belt using the red button in the buckle. Fasten
the safety belt before continuing on your trip.
Damagetosafetybelts
WARNING
The protective effect of the safety belts
may not be fully functional or fail in the follow#j
ing situations:'ySafety belts are damaged, soiled or
changed in any other way.'ySafety belt buckle is damaged or heavily
soiled.'yBelt tensioners or belt retractors were modified.
Safety belts can be imperceptibly damaged inthe event of an accident. There is a risk of inju#j
ries or danger to life. Do not modify safety
belts, safety belt buckles, belt tensioners, belt
retractors or belt anchors and keep them
clean. Have the safety belts checked after an
accident at the dealer#ss service center or an#j other qualified service center or repair shop.'

Height
Adjust the head restraint so that its center is
approximately at eye level.
Distance Adjust the distance so that the head restraint
is as close as possible to the back of the head.

A missing protective effect due to re#j
moved or not correctly adjusted head re#j straints can cause injuries in the head andneck area. There is a risk of injury. Install headrestraints on occupied seats prior to drivingand make sure that the center of the head re#j

Mirrors
Exteriormirrors
Generalinformation The mirror on the passenger side is more
curved than the driver's side mirror.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the mir#j
ror setting is stored for the driver profile cur#j
rently used. When the vehicle is unlocked via the remote control, the position is automati#j
cally retrieved if this function is active.
Safetyinformation WARNING
Objects reflected in the mirror are closer
than they appear. The distance to the traffic
behind could be incorrectly estimated, e.g.,
while changing lanes. There is a risk of an acci#j
dent. Estimate the distance to the traffic be#j
hind by looking over your shoulder.'
