Closingwithoutthejamprotection
system
In case of danger from the outside or if ice might prevent normal closing, proceed as fol#j lows:1. Pull the switch past the resistance
point and hold it there.
The window closes with limited jam pro#j
tection . If the closing force exceeds a spe#j
cific threshold, closing is interrupted.2. Pull the switch past the resistance
point again within approx. 4 seconds and
hold it there.
The window closes without jam protec#j
tion .
Safetyswitch
Concept
With the safety switch, it is possible to block
particular functions in the rear. This makes
sense, for instance if children or animals are carried in the rear.
Generalinformation
The following functions can be blocked using
the safety switch:
'yOpening and closing of the rear windows using the switches in the rear.'yOperation of the roller sunblind in the rear
window using the switches in the rear.'yOperation of the roller sunblinds in the side windows using the switches in the rear.'yAdjustment of the power rear seats.'yOperation of the rear sliding visor using the
switches in the rear.
If an accident of a certain severity occurs, the safety function is switched off automatically.
Switchingon/off
Press button.
The LED lights up if the safety func#j
tion is switched on.
Rearwindowrollersunblind
Generalinformation The safety switch, refer to page 81, in the driv#j
er's door can be used to prevent children from operating the roller sunblind using the
switches in the rear, for instance.

Briefly press the switch twice insuccession in the desired direc#j tion past the resistance point.
The glass sunroof and sliding vi#j
sor move together. Pressing the
switch upward stops the motion.

Comfortposition
If the glass sunroof is not completely opened
automatically, the comfort position has been
attained. In this position the wind noises in the
interior are the least.
If desired, continue the movement by pressing
the switch.

Actionsduringunlocking/locking
If the vehicle is locked from the outside, the
rear sliding visor is automatically closed.
During unlocking, the sliding visor is automati#j
cally moved into the position, where it was
prior to locking.
Jamprotectionsystem
Generalinformation
If the closing force exceeds a certain value when closing the glass sunroof, the closing op#jeration is interrupted once the roof reaches thehalf-open position, or it is stopped when clos#j
ing from the tilted position.
The glass sunroof opens slightly.

Frontseats
Generalinformation The seat adjustment for the driver's seat is
stored for the driver profile currently used. When the vehicle is unlocked via the remotecontrol, the position is automatically retrieved

this purpose.
The current seat position can be stored using
the memory function, refer to page 98.
Safetyinformation
WARNING
Seat adjustments while driving can lead
to unexpected movements of the seat. Vehicle
control could be lost. There is a risk of an acci#j dent. Only adjust the seat on the driver's sidewhen the vehicle is stationary.'
