BMW
display
key
is
supplied
with
an
addijtional
mechanical
key.
If
the
display
key
is
used,the
mechanical
key
should
be
carried
with
you,for
instance
in
the
wallet.
The
mechanical
key
is
used
like
the
integrated
key,
refer
to
page
85.
The
display
key
supports
all
functions
of
the standard
remote
control.
In
addition,
the
following
functions
are
also

People

the

in.
In this
case,
the
vehicle
cannot
be
opened
from
the
outside.

is
a

the remote
control
with
you

that

vehicle
can
be
opened
from
the
outside.

For
some
country
versions,
unlocking
from
the inside
is
only
possible
with
special

The

available
display
key

the
distance

the

battery
General
information Follow
the

information:

battery

recharged

display

switched

The

erability
of
the
standard
buttons
is
retained until
the
battery
is
completely

Switching
on
drive-ready
state
via
emergency
detection
of
the
BMW
display
key
It
is
not
possible
to
switch
on
the
drive-ready
state
if
the
display
key
has
not
been
detected.
Proceed
as
follows
in
this
case:
1.Hold
the
display
key
with
its
back
against
themarked
area
on
the
steering
column.
Pay
atjtention
to
the
display
in
the
instrument
clusjter.2.If
the
display
key
is
detected:
Switch
on
drive-ready
state
within
10
secj
onds.
If
the
display
key
is
not
detected,
slightly
change
the
position
of
the
display
key
and
repeat
the
procedure.
Resetting
the
BMW
display
key
If
the
charged
display
key
cannot
be
switched
on anymore
or
if
the
display
does
not
respond
toentries
anymore,
the
display
key
can
be
reset.
Press
and
hold
the
button
on
the
left
side
of
the
display
key
for
at
least
20
seconds,
until
somej
thing
appears
on
the
display.

door

remote
control
using
the
integrated
key.

lid
is
opened
or
closed.
General

To
avoid
locking
it
in
the
vehicle,
do
not
place
the
remote
control
in
the
cargo
area.
If
the
remote
control
is
in
the
sensor
area,
the
trunk
lid
can
be
opened
or
closed
inadvertently
by
an
unconscious
or
alleged
recognized
foot
movement.
The
sensor
has
an
approximate
range
of 5
ft/1.50
m
extending
from
the
rear
of
the
vehij
cle.
If
you
open
the

with
