Inordertoprovidetheprotectionforwhichthey havebeendesigned,theseatbeltsshouldbe adjustedtofitassnuglyaspossiblewithoutbejinguncomfortable.Aslackbeltwillgreatlyrej
ducetheprotectionaffordedtothewearer.
Donotallowtheseatbeltwebbingtocome
intocontactwithpolishes,oilsandchemicals andparticularlybatteryacid.Itmaybesafely
cleanedwithamildsoapwatersolution.Rej
placetheseatbeltifthewebbingbecomes
frayed,contaminatedordamaged.Seatbelts
shouldnotbewornwithseatbeltstrapstwisj
ted.Eachseatbeltassemblymustonlybe
usedbyoneoccupant;carryinginfantsand
childrenontheoccupant'slapisnotpermitted.
Itisessentialtoreplacetheentirebeltassemj
blyifitwasbeingwornbyavehicleoccupant
whenasevereimpactoccurred,evenifdamj
agetotheassemblyisnotobvious.
