High-beamassistanceensuresthatthehigh- beamheadlightsareswitchedonwhenthetrafficsituationallows.Thehigh-beamheadlightsare
notswitchedonbythesysteminthelowspeed range.
Thesystemrespondstothelightsfromoncomj
ingtrafficandtrafficdrivingaheadofyou,andto
ambientlighting,forexampleinbuilt-upareas.
Thehigh-beamheadlightscanbeswitchedon
andoffmanuallyatanytime.
Ifthevehicleisequippedwithdazzle-freehigh-
beamassistance,thehigh-beamheadlightsare notswitchedoffforoncomingvehiclesorvehijclesdrivingaheadofyou;instead,theareasof
thebeamthatwouldotherwisedazzletheonj
comingtrafficortrafficdrivingaheadaremasked off.Inthiscase,theblueindicatorlampcontinj
uestoilluminate.
