Lumbarsupport The curvature of the seat backrest can be adj
justed in a way that it supports the lumbar rej gion of the spine. The lower back and thespine are supported for upright posture.

Seat heating
Switchingon Press button once for each temperajture level.
The maximum temperature is reached when three LEDs are lit.
If the trip is continued within approx. 15 mij
nutes after a stop, seat heating is activated auj
tomatically with the temperature selected last.
Switchingoff Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.

Safetyinformation WARNING
There is a risk of jamming when moving
the seats. There is a risk of injury or risk of property damage. Make sure that the area of

Comfortentry
The comfort entry contains a memory function for forward/backward and backrest adjustjment.1.Pull lever up to the stop.2.Fold backrest forward.3.To change the entry area:'yPress and hold this button untilthe seat has moved to the dej

Numberofsafetybelts
The vehicle is fitted with four safety belts to
ensure occupant safety. However, they can
only offer protection when adjusted correctly.
Generalinformation
Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Alj
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for
safety belts.
Slowly guide the safety belt out of the holder when fastening it.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj
ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
If the safety belt is used by more than
one person, the protective effect of the safety belt cannot be ensured anymore. There is arisk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allowmore than one person to wear a single safety
belt. Infants and children are not allowed on an occupant's lap, but must be transported andrespectively secured in designated child rej
straint systems.'

Correctuseofsafetybelts'yWear the safety belt twist-free and as tight
to your body as possible over your lap and shoulders.'yWear the safety belt deep on your hips
over your lap. The safety belt may not press on your stomach.'yDo not wear the safety belt on your throat,rub it on sharp edges, guide it or jam it inacross hard or fragile objects.'yAvoid thick clothing.'yRe-tighten the safety belt frequently upj
ward around your upper body.
Bucklingthesafetybelt
Make sure you hear the latch plate engage in
the belt buckle.
Unbucklingthesafetybelt
1.Hold the safety belt firmly.2.Press the red button in the belt buckle.3.Guide the safety belt back into its roll-up mechanism.
Safetybeltreminderfordriver'sand
passenger'sseat
The indicator lamp lights up and a sigj
nal sounds. Make sure that the safety
belts are positioned correctly. The
safety belt reminder is active at speeds above
approx. 6 mph/10 km/h. It can also be activated if objects are placed on the front passengerseat.
Damagetosafetybelts
WARNING
The protective effect of the safety belts
may not be fully functional or fail in the followj
ing situations:'ySafety belts are damaged, soiled or
changed in any other way.'ySafety belt buckle is damaged or heavily
soiled.'yBelt tensioners or belt retractors were modified.
Safety belts can be imperceptibly damaged inthe event of an accident. There is a risk of injuj
ries or danger to life. Do not modify safety
belts, safety belt buckles, belt tensioners, belt
retractors or belt anchors and keep them
clean. Have the safety belts checked after an
accident at the dealerss service center or anj other qualified service center or repair shop.'

Objects on the head restraint reduce the
protective effect in the head and neck area.

Selectingamirror
To change over to the other mirror:
Slide the switch.
Adjustingelectrically Press button.
The mirror movement follows the butj
ton movement.
Savingpositions
The current exterior mirror position can be stored via the seat and mirror memory.
AdjustingmanuallyIn case of electrical malfunction press edges of
mirror.
AutomaticCurbMonitor Concept
If reverse gear is engaged, the mirror glass on
the front passenger side is tilted downward.
This improves your view of the curb and other
low-lying obstacles when parking, e.g.
Activating1. Slide the switch to the driver's side
mirror position.2.Engage selector lever position R.
Deactivating
Slide the switch to the passenger side mirror
position.
Foldinginandout NOTE
Depending on the vehicle width, the vej
hicle can be damaged in vehicle washes. There is a risk of property damage. Before washing,
fold in the mirrors by hand or with the button.'

Fliplever
To reduce the blinding effect of the interior
rear view mirror, flip the lever forward.
Turnknob
Turn the knob to reduce the blinding effect by
the interior mirror.

Photocells are used for control:

'yKeep the photocells clean.'yDo not cover the area between the inside
rearview mirror and the windshield.
