automatically.

Some Check Control messages are hidden autoj
matically after approx. 20 seconds. The Check

Tachometer
Always avoid engine speeds in the red warning
field. In this range, the fuel supply is reduced to protect the engine.
Coolanttemperature
If the coolant along with the engine becomes too
hot, a Check Control message is displayed.
A red indicator light is displayed.
Check the coolant level.

The system recommends the most fuel efficient gear for the current driving situation.

The gear shift indicator is active in the sequential
mode of the M double clutch transmission and
for the manual transmission.
Suggestions to shift gear up or down are disj

Concept
Speed Limit Info shows the current maximum permitted speed in the instrument cluster.
Generalinformation The camera in the area of the interior mirror dej
tects traffic signs at the edge of the road as well
as variable overhead sign posts. Traffic signs
with extra symbols for wet road conditions, etc., are also detected and compared with the vehij
cle's onboard data, such as from the rain sensor,
and will be displayed depending on the situation.
The system takes into account the information stored in the navigation system and also displays
speed limits present on routes without signs.
Safetyinformation
WARNING
The system cannot serve as a substitute for the
driverss personal judgment in assessing visibility
and traffic situation. There is a risk of an accij
dent. Adjust driving style to traffic conditions.
Watch traffic closely and actively intervene
where appropriate.

The average fuel consumption is calculated for
the period while the engine is running.
The average fuel consumption is calculated forthe distance traveled since the last reset by theOnboard Computer.
Averagespeed Periods in which the vehicle is parked with theengine manually stopped are not included in thecalculation of the average speed.
Resettingaveragevalues
Press and hold button on turn signal lever.
Engineoiltemperature The current engine oil temperature is displayed
in the instrument cluster.
As soon as the optimum operating temperature has been attained, the indicator is in the centerposition.
If the engine oil along with the engine becomes too hot, a check control message is displayed
too.
When the engine oil temperature is too
high, a red indicator light is displayed.
Distancetodestination Depending on the vehicle equipment, the disj
tance remaining to the destination is displayed if
a destination is entered in the navigation system
before the trip is started.
The distance to the destination is adopted autoj
