engine
General
information With
a
displacement
of
3
liters,
the
high-perform#j
ance
engine
generates
a
maximum
power

With
its
spontaneous
response

havior,
a
speed
range
of
wide
utility
results.
The
maximum
engine
speed
is
7,500
rpm
and
is
con#j trolled
electronically.
Because
of
the
high
engine
dynamics,
the
maximum
engine
speed
with
the
vehicle
stationary
is
reduced.
Warm-up During
the
engine
warm-up
phase,
the
high-per#jformance
engine
has
a
somewhat
rougher
run#j
ning
behavior
because
of
the
emission
controls.
When
the
engine
is
cold,
the
exhaust
system
hasa
slightly
metallic
undertone
due
to
the
nature
ofthe
system.
Compound
brake
General
information
The
high-performance
braking
system
has

forated
compound
brake
discs.
Due
to
the
specific
layout,
temporary
functional
noise
may
occur
after
an
extended
minor
brake
load.
The
functional
noises
have
no
effect
on
the

formance,
operational
reliability,
and
durability
of the
brake.
Correct
braking
To
prevent
functional
noises,
it
is
expedient
to
apply
the
brakes
hard
a
few
times
in
regular
in#j
tervals.
Ensure
that
the
traffic
situation
permits the
brake
operations.
With
moisture
on
the
brake
discs,
the
brake
sys#j
tem
may
be
operated
dry
to
prevent
noise.
Drivetrain
With
this
vehicle,
particular
value
was
placed
on
the
direct
connection
from
engine
to
the
drive#j train.
Due
to
the
torsionally
rigid
design
of
thedrivetrain,
as
is
typical
in
a
sports
vehicle,
thetransmission
of
the
torque
also
gives
acoustic
feedback.
When
there
are
load
changes,
this
may
result
in clicking
noises.
