ignition
key
is
tumed
on,
the
indicator
light
will

minate
for
approximately
4-6
seconds

The

light

indicates
the
self-testof
the
electronic
control/monitoring

module,

ignítors

the
system

wiring
.
The
airbag
system
should
be
inspected
byan
autho-

rized
BMW
dealer
if
the
indicator
light
does
not
come
on,
ifit

does
not
go
out
in
approximately
4-6
seconds
after
switching

ignition,

if

light
comes
on
during
driving

If
the

system
has
detected

fault,
