Switching
on
drive-ready
state
by
special
ID
of
the
BMW
display
key
The
drive-ready
state
cannot
be
switched
on
if the
display
key
has
not
been
detected.
If
this
happens,
proceed
as
follows:
1.Hold
the
back
of
the
display
key
against
the
mark
on
the
steering
column.
Pay
attention
to the
display
in
the
instrument
cluster.2.If
the
display
key
is
detected:
Switch
on
drive-ready
state
within
10
secj
onds.
If
the
display
key
is
not
detected,
change
the
poj sition
of
the
display
key
slightly
and
repeat
the
procedure.

Resetting
the
BMW
display
keyIf
the
charged
display
key

no
longer
beswitched
on,

display

longer
responds

hold

least
20
seconds
until
something is
shown
on
the
display.
Integrated
key
General
With
the
integrated
key,
the
driver's
door
can
be
unlocked
and
locked
without

remote
control.
The
integrated
key

fits

glove

the
central
rear
area
and
the
boot
lid

locked

control
in

boot.
If

remote
control
is
within
the
sensor
range,the
boot
lid
can
be
accidentally
opened
or
closedby
an
unintentional

presumed
foot
movement.

sensor
range
extends
to
approximately
1.50
m,
5
ft
behind
the
rear
area.

lid

opened
with
a
contactless
method,
locked
doors

which
personal vehicle
settings
can
be
saved.
Each
remote
conj
trol
is
allocated
to
one
of
these
driver
profiles.
When
the
vehicle
is
unlocked
with
a
remote
conj
trol,
the
allocated
driver
profile
is
activated.
All
the
settings
saved
in
the
driver
profile
are
applied
automatically.
If
several
drivers
each
use
their
own
remote
conj
trol,
the
vehicle
will
adapt
to
their
personal
setj tings
when
it
is
unlocked.
These
settings
are
alsorestored
if
the
vehicle
is
used
in
the
intervening
period
by
someone
with
a
different
remote
conj
trol.
Changes
to
settings
are
saved
automatically
in
the
currently
used
driver
profile.
If
a
different
driver
profile
is
selected
via
iDrive, the
settings
saved
there
are
automatically
apjplied.
The
new
driver
profile
is
allocated
to
theremote
control
currently
used.
A
guest
profile
is
also
available
which
is
not
alloj
cated
to
any
remote
control.
It
can
be
used
to
perform
settings
on
the
vehicle
without
changing
the
personal
driver
profiles.
Operating

driver
profile

be
set,

system

be
able
to
assign
the

remote
control
uniquely
to
the
driver.

the
