airbagssupplementtheseatbeltsasanaddij tionalsafetydevice.Theairbagsarenotasubstij
tutefortheseatbelts.
Thebeltanchorageissuitableforadultsofany
statureiftheseatisadjustedcorrectly.

Seatbeltsshouldbeadjustedasfirmlyasposj
sible,consistentwithcomfort,toprovidethe
protectionforwhichtheyhavebeendesigned.
Aslackbeltwillgreatlyreducetheprotection
affordedtothewearer.
Careshouldbetakentoavoidcontaminationof
thewebbingbypolishes,oilsandchemicals andparticularlybatteryacid.Cleaningmaysafelybecarriedoutusingamildsoapandwajtersolution.Thebeltshouldbereplacedif
webbingbecomesfrayed,contaminatedor damaged.Seatbeltsshouldnotbewornwith
strapstwisted.Eachseatbeltassemblymust
onlybeusedbyoneoccupant;itisforbiddento putabeltaroundachildbeingcarriedontheoccupant'slap.
Itisessentialtoreplacetheentireassemblyafj terithasbeenworninasevereimpactevenif
damagetotheassemblyisnotobvious.
