Always avoid engine speeds in the red warning
field. In this range, the fuel supply is reduced to protect the engine.

With the navigation system, the system takesinto account the information stored in the navigaj
tion data and also displays speed limits present
on routes without signs.
Without a navigation system, the system is subj ject to limitations imposed by technology. Traffic
signs with speed limitations are detected and
displayed only. Speed limitations due to entering
or exiting towns, highway signs, etc. are not disj
played. Speed limits with extra text characters are always displayed.

The system cannot serve as a substitute for the driverss personal judgment in assessing visibility and traffic situation. There is a risk of an accij
dent. Adjust driving style to traffic conditions. Watch traffic closely and actively intervene

Averagespeed Periods in which the vehicle is parked with theengine manually stopped are not included in thecalculation of the average speed.

Enginetemperaturedisplay Depending on the vehicle equipment, the currentengine temperature is displayed, based on a
combination of the coolant temperature and enj
gine oil temperature. As soon as the optimum operating temperature has been attained, the inj
dicator is in the center position.
If the engine oil or coolant, and thus the engine, become too hot, a Check Control message is
displayed too.

Distancetodestination
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the disj
tance remaining to the destination is displayed if
a destination is entered in the navigation system
before the trip is started.
The distance to the destination is adopted autoj
