Safetyswitch
Generalinformation
The safety switch in the driver's door can be
used to prevent children, for instance from
opening and closing the rear windows using
the switches in the rear.
If an accident of a certain severity occurs, the safety function is switched off automatically.
Switchingon/off Press button.
The LED lights up if the safety funcj
tion is switched on.
Rollersunblinds
Generalinformation If you are no longer able to move a roller sunj
blind after having activated it consecutively a number of times, the system is blocked for a
limited time to prevent overheating. Let the
system cool.
It may not be possible to move roller sunblinds
at low interior temperatures.

Pull out the roller sunblind at the loop and hook
it onto the bracket.
WARNING
With closed roller sunblinds and open
windows, the roller sunblinds can be loaded
heavily while driving due to the wind. The roller
sunblinds can be damaged and compromise
the occupants. There is a risk of injury. Do not open the windows while driving if the roller
sunblinds are closed.'

Comfortposition
If the glass sunroof is not completely opened
automatically, the comfort position has been
attained. In this position the wind noises in the
interior are the least.
If desired, continue the movement by pressing
the switch.
Jamprotectionsystem
Generalinformation
If the closing force exceeds a certain value when closing the glass sunroof, the closing opj
eration is interrupted once the roof reaches the
half-open position, or it is stopped when closj
ing from the tilted position. The glass sunroof
opens slightly.

If there is an external danger, proceed as folj
lows:1.Push the switch forward past the resistj
ance point and hold.
The glass sunroof closes with limited jam protection. If the closing force exceeds aspecific threshold, closing is interrupted.2.Push the switch forward again past the rej
sistance point and hold until the glass sunj
roof closes without jam protection. Make sure that the closing area is clear.

closing process, the glass sunroof can only be operated to a limited extent.

Seat heating
Switchingon Press button once for each temperajture level.
The maximum temperature is reached when three LEDs are lit.
If the trip is continued within approx. 15 mij
nutes after a stop, seat heating is activated auj
tomatically with the temperature selected last.
When ECO PRO is activated, the heater output
is reduced.
Switchingoff Press and hold the button, until the
LEDs go out.

The heating action in the seat cushion and the
seat backrest can be distributed in different
ways.

Theconcept The seat cushion and backrest surfaces are
cooled by means of integrated fans.
The ventilation cools the seat, e.g., if the vehij
cle interior is overheated or for continuous cooling at high temperatures.

level.
The highest level is active when three LEDs are lit.
The ventilation switches back by one level afj ter a short time.

down the center armrest in the rear. There is a

Safetybelts Numberofsafetybeltsandsafetybelt
buckles
The vehicle is fitted with five safety belts to enj
sure occupant safety. However, they can only offer protection when adjusted correctly.
The two outer safety belt buckles of the rear
seat are intended for the persons sitting on the
left and right.
The center safety belt buckle of the rear seat is
intended for the person sitting in the middle.
Generalinformation Always make sure that safety belts are being
worn by all occupants before driving off. Alj
though airbags enhance safety by providing
added protection, they are not a substitute for safety belts.
The upper shoulder strap's anchorage point
will be correct for adult seat occupants of evj ery build if the seat is correctly adjusted.
Safetyinformation WARNING
If the safety belt is used to buckle more
than one person, the efficacy of safety gear, inj cluding safety belts can no longer be ensured.
There is a risk of injuries or danger to life. Do not allow more than one person to wear a sinj
gle safety belt. Infants and children are not alj lowed on an occupant's lap, but must be transjported and secured in designated childrestraint systems.'

'yDo not rub the safety belt against sharpedges, or guide it or jam it in across hard or
fragile objects.'yAvoid thick clothing.'yRe-tighten the safety belt frequently upj
ward around your upper body.
Bucklingthesafetybelt
1.Slowly guide the safety belt out of the holder when fastening it.2.Insert the tongue plate into the safety belt
buckle. The safety belt buckle must enj
gage audibly.
To ease accessibility to the safety belt buckle,
an adjustable slider is available on the belt to help position the buckle when not in use.
When the safety belt is buckled, the belt strap
is automatically tightened once after the vehij
cle drove off.

1.Hold the safety belt firmly.2.Press the red button in the belt buckle.3.Guide the safety belt back into its roll-upmechanism.
Safetybeltreminderfordriver'sand
passenger'sseat
Display The indicator light lights up and a sigjnal sounds. Make sure that the safety
belts are positioned correctly. The
safety belt reminder can also be activated if
objects are placed on the front passenger seat.
Safetymode
In critical situations, for example during an
emergency stop, the front safety belts tighten automatically.
If the situation passes without an accident ocj
curring, the belt tension relaxes.
If the belt tension does not loosen automatij cally, stop the vehicle and unbuckle the safetybelt using the red button in the buckle. Fasten
the safety belt before continuing on your trip.

A missing protective effect due to rej
moved or not correctly adjusted head rej
straints can cause injuries in the head and neck area. There is a risk of injury.'yBefore driving, install the removed head rej
straints on the occupied seats.'yAdjust the head restraint so its center supj ports the back of the head at as close to
eye level as possible.'yAdjust the distance so that the head rej straint is as close as possible to the back of
the head. If necessary, adjust the distance
by adjusting the tilt of the backrest.'
