Although the shape and heat radiation are evaluated, false alarms may happen.
Warningzoneinfrontofthevehicle
The warning zone for the person warning conj sists of two parts:
'yCentral zone, arrow 1, directly in front ofthe vehicle.'yExtended zone, arrow 2, at right and left ofcentral area.
With the animal warning, the central or extenjded zone is not differentiated between.
The entire zone follows the direction of the vejhicle according to the steering angle and
changes with vehicle speed. With increasing
speed the range, for example, is longer and
wider.

wholly concealed, in particular their head.'yWhere persons are not standing upright,
for example when lying down.'yCyclists on non-conventional cycles, for example recumbent cycles.'yFollowing mechanical effects on the sysjtem, for example after an accident.

Lanedeparturewarning Principle This system warns if the vehicle leaves the
lane, when the vehicle is on roads with lane markings and travelling above a given speed.Depending on country version, this speed is
between 55 km/h, approximately 35 mph and
70 km/h, approximately 45 mph.
When there are warnings, the steering wheel
starts to vibrate slightly. The timing of this warning may vary depending on the currentdriving situation.
The system does not issue a warning if the driver indicates before leaving the driving lane.

approx. 20 km/h, approx.12 mph.
In some equipment configurations, the radar
sensors are active from approximately
50 km/h, approximately 30 mph.
The system indicates when vehicles are in the
blind spot, arrow 1, or are approaching from
the rear on an adjacent lane, arrow 2.
The light in the exterior mirror housing illumij nates at a dimmed level.
Before changing lanes with the turn indicator
switched on, the system issues a warning the
above situations.
The light in the exterior mirror housing flashes
and the steering wheel vibrates.

A Check Control message is displayed in the event of limited functionality.
Manualspeedlimiter PrincipleWith the system, the speed can be restrictedfrom a value of 30 km/h/20 mph. There are norestrictions below the set speed limit.
Exceedingthespeedlimit
In particular situations the speed limit can be
deliberately exceeded by accelerating strongly.
The system gives a warning if the travelling
speed exceeds the set speed limit.
Nobrakeintervention If the set speed limit has been reached or uninj
tentionally exceeded (for example driving
downhill) there is no brake intervention.
If you set a speed limit during the journey
which is below the current speed, the vehicle rolls until the driving speed drops below the
speed limit.

it drops to the set speed limit.
Exceedingthespeedlimit You may intentionally exceed the speed limit.
There is no acoustic warning in such a case.
To exceed the set speed limit intentionally, press the accelerator pedal downwards as far

General
The Active Protection safety package consists
of systems independent of each other:
