USBinterface/AUX-INport
Principle Mobile devices with a USB port can be conjnected to the USB interface.
A mobile audio device can be connected via the AUX-IN port, for example an MP3 player.
General
The following devices can be connected:
'yMobile telephones that are supported by the USB interface.
The snap-in adapter has its own USB port
that is automatically connected when an
appropriate mobile telephone is inserted.'yAudio devices with USB port, for example
MP3 players.'yUSB storage devices.
Common file systems are supported. Forj mats FAT32 and exFAT are recommenj
ded.
Information about compatible USB devices is available at www.bmw.com/bluetooth.
The following uses are possible:

Overview
The USB interface and AUX-IN port are locaj
ted in the centre armrest.
Connectinganexternaldevice When connecting, bear the following in mind:
'yDo not insert the plug forcibly in the USB
interface.'yUse a flexible adapter cable.'yProtect the USB device from mechanical
damage.'yDue to the large variety of USB devices
available on the market, operation using the vehicle cannot be ensured for every
device.'yDo not expose the USB devices to extreme environmental conditions, for example very
high temperatures, see the user manual of
the device.'yDue to the large variety of different comj
pression techniques, correct playback of
the media stored on the USB device canj not be guaranteed in every case.'yA connected USB device is supplied withcharging current via the USB interface ifthe device supports this. At higher temperjatures, the USB device can lead to a reducj
tion in the charging current.'yTo ensure correct transfer of the stored
data, do not charge a USB device from the socket in the vehicle when the device is
also connected to the USB interface.'yDepending on how the USB device is bej ing used, it may be necessary to make setj
tings on the USB device, see the user manual of the device.

Inserting
Install in opposite order to that of removal.1.Put on boot cover at left and right.2.Lift cover slightly at rear and push forwards
until it engages in both side brackets.

luggage net rolls closed rapidly. Danger of inj
jury or damage to property. Do not permit the luggage net to roll rapidly closed.'

Slightly push down lid and press button, see
arrow. The relevant lid folds up.
Closing Fold down the relevant lid until it engages.

Overview There is a storage compartment in the centre
armrest between the seats.
Opening
1.Pull on the loop and fold down the centre
armrest.2.Pull the handle.
Closing
Push the lid down until this engages.
Spectaclecompartment
Overview The spectacle compartment is between the
rear-view mirror and the interior light.
Opening
Press the button.
Closing
Push the lid up until this engages.
