succession beyond the resistj
ance point in the desired direcj
tion.
The Glass Roof and the sun
blind open together. Movement is stopped by pressing switch upwards.

Comfortposition
If Glass Roof is not completely opened by auj
tomatic function, this means comfort position has been reached. In this position, wind noise
inside vehicle is at lowest level.
You can continue the movement by subsej
quently pressing the button.
Afterswitchingofftheignition The Glass Roof can still be opened or closed
for approximately 1 minute after the ignition
has been switched off.
Anti-trapmechanism
General If the closing power exceeds a certain value
when closing the Glass Roof, the closing operj ation is interrupted once the roof reaches thehalf-open position, or it is stopped when closjing from the raised position. Glass Roof isopened slightly.Closingwithoutanti-trapmechanism

In the event of danger from the outside, proj
ceed as follows:1.Slide the switch forwards beyond the rej
sistance point and hold it there.
The Glass Roof is closed with a restricted
anti-trap mechanism. If the closing power
of the window exceeds a certain value, the
closing operation is interrupted.2.Press the switch forwards once again bej
yond the resistance point and hold until the
Glass Roof closes without the anti-trap
mechanism. Ensure that the closing area is
clear.

If there is a danger from the outj
side slide the switch forwards beyond the resistance point and
hold it there.
The Glass Roof is closed withj
out the anti-trap mechanism.
Initialisingafterpowerfailure
General
The Glass Roof functions may be restricted afj
ter a power cut during the opening or closing operation.
The system can be initialised under the following conditions.
'yThe vehicle is standing horizontally.'yThe engine is running.'yThe outside temperature is above

During the initialisation, the Glass Roof closes
without the anti-trap mechanism.
Ensure that the closing area is clear.

Safeseatedposition A seated position that suitably reflects the rej
quirements of the occupants is essential for
relaxed driving with minimum fatigue.
In an accident, the correct seat position plays
an important role. Comply with the notes in the

Temporarily, the backrest width opens comj pletely to facilitate getting into and out of thevehicle.
Shouldersupport
General The shoulder support supports the back in the
shoulder region. Correct adjustment results in a relaxed sitting position, and reduces strain onthe shoulder muscles.

Press the button on the corresponding side.
Seatheating,front
Overview
Seat heating
Switchingon Press the button once per temperajture stage.
Maximum temperature is indicated by three
LEDs.
If the journey is continued within about 15 mij nutes after a temporary stop, the seat heatingis automatically activated with the last temperjature set.
Switchingoff Press and hold the button until the
LEDs no longer illuminate.

The heating distribution between the seat cushion and the seat backrest can be varied.

Principle The seat and backrest surfaces are cooled usj
ing integrated fans.
The ventilation cools the seat if the vehicle inj
terior is uncomfortably hot or if continuous cooling is required when the weather is hot.

Active seat ventilation
Switchingon Press the button once per ventilation
stage.
The highest stage is indicated by three illumij
nated LEDs.
After a short time, there is an automatic switch
downwards by one level.
Switchingoff
Press and hold the button until theLEDs no longer illuminate.

Danger of trapping when folding down
the centre armrest in the rear. Danger of injury.
When folding down, make sure that the area of movement of the centre armrest is free.'

Seatbelts Numberofseatbeltsandbeltbuckles For the safety of the vehicle occupants, the vejhicle is equipped with five seat belts. However,they can only offer protection when adjustedcorrectly.
The two outer belt buckles in the rear seat are intended for those sitting on the left and right.
The inner belt buckle of the rear seat is intenj
ded for the person sitting in the middle.
General Before every journey, make sure that all occujpants have fastened their seat belts. The airj
bags are a complementary safety feature and not a substitute for the seat belts.
The belt anchorage is suitable for adults of any
stature as long as the seat is correctly adjusj
ted.
Safetyinstructions WARNING
Using a seat belt to restrain more than
one person nullifies the protective effect of the seat belt. Danger of injury or life. Only restrain
one person with each seat belt. Do not place
infants and children on your lap, but instead rej
strain them with the child restraint systems
provided, and secure them accordingly.'

WARNING
The protective effect of the seat belts
can be restricted or nullified in the following
situations:'yThe seat belts or belt buckles are damj aged, dirty or have been modified in anjother way.'yBelt tensioners or belt retractors havebeen modified.
Seat belts can be damaged in an accident
without the damage necessarily being appaj
rent. Danger of injury or life. Do not modify seat
belts, belt buckles, belt tensioners, belt retracj tors and belt anchor points; also, keep them
clean. After an accident, have the seat belts inj spected at a Service Partner of the manufacj
turer or another qualified Service Partner or a
specialist workshop.'

cluster is illuminated after the engine starts.'yGreen: seat belt fastened on the correj

The seat belt reminder will also be activated ifa rear seat belt is unfastened during the jourj
ney.
Safetyfunction In critical driving situations, for example full
braking, the front seat belts are tensioned auj tomatically.
If the driving situation passes without an accij dent, the belt tension is loosened again.
If the belt tension does not loosen automatijcally, stop the vehicle and open the seat belt
using the red button in the lock section. Fasten
the seat belt again before continuing your jourj
ney.
Frontheadrestraints Safetyinstructions WARNING
Head and neck injuries can result due to
the lack of protective effect if head restraints
are removed or have not been adjusted corj
rectly. Danger of injury.
'yBefore a journey, fit the removed head rej
straints on all occupied seats.'yAdjust the head restraint so its centre supj ports the back of the head at as close to
eye level as possible.'yAdjust the spacing so that the head rej
straint is as close as possible to the back of
the head. If necessary, adjust the spacing
using the incline of the seat backrest.'
