readiness

emergency
detection

It
is
not
possible
to
switch
on
the
drive-ready
state
if
the
display
key
has
not

detected.
Proceed
as
follows
in
this
case:
1.Hold
the
display
key
with
its
rear
against
the
marked
area
on
the
steering
column.
Pay

to
the
display
in
the
instrument

the
display
key
is
detected:
Turn
on
drive-ready
state
within
10
seconds.If
the
display
key
is
not
detected,
slightly
change
the
position
of

display
key
and
repeat
the
procedure.
Resetting
the
BMW
display
key
If
the
charged
display
key
cannot
be
turned
on anymore
or
if
the
display
does
not
respond
toentries
anymore,
the
display
key
can
be
reset.
Press
and
hold
the
following
buttons
on

at
the
same
time
for

least
10
seconds until
the
display
is
switched
off
and
then

paired

Sharing
digital
keys
General

the
sharing
of
digital
keys

other
people.
This
option
is
available
via
the
smartphone
that
is
enabled

digital
remote
control
key.
Forwarding
authorization
To
share
the
digital
key,
select
the
correspond#j
ing
function
on
the
smartphone,
for
instance
in the
Wallet
app.
As
soon
as
a
digital
key
is
shared
with
another
person,
the
person
will
receive
an
invitation.
When
the
invitation
is
accepted,
the
digital
key on
the
recipient's
smartphone
will
be
activated.
Limiting
the
range
of
functions Certain
functions
of
the
digital
key
can
be
limitedbefore
handing
it
over.

example,
if

digitalkey

over
to
