Changing a wheel
4. OPERATING PROCEDURE - P l a c e t h e j a c k i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e l o c a t i n g p o i n t p r o v i d e d , t h e o n e
which is closest to the wheel to be
c h a n g e d . E n s u r e t h a t t h e j a c k i s
s t r a i g h t a n d t h a t t h e b a s e o f t h e j a c k
is fully in contact with the ground.
- E x t e n d t h e j a c k t o l i f t t h e w h e e l clear of the ground.
- R e s u m e a n d c o m p l e t e t h e unscrewing of the wheel bolts.
- R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d r e m o v e t h e wheel.
D o n o t e x t e n d t h e j a c k u n t i l y o u h a v e
started unscrewing the bolts on the
w h e e l t o b e c h a n g e d a n d h a v e p l a c e d
t h e c h o c k u n d e r t h e w h e e l d i a g o n a l l y
o p p o s i t e .
- R e m o v e t h e t r i m p u l l i n g i t u s i n g t h e
embellisher remover.
- Loosen the wheel bolts and start unscrewing them. Anti-theft bolts
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h w h e e l s w i t h
alloy rims:
- Each wheel has an anti-theft bolt.
- T h e s e b o l t s c a n b e l o o s e n e d u s i n g
y o u r a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t ( g i v e n t o y o u
in delivery of your vehicle) and the
wheelbrace.

- T i g h t e n t h e b o l t s a g a i n u s i n g t h e wheelbrace, tighten them fully
without forcing them.
- P l a c e t h e w h e e l t o b e r e p a i r e d i n the carrier. - S e c u r e t h e c a r r i e r o n t h e h o o k t h e n
raise the carrier using the bolt and
the wheelbrace.
Never go underneath a vehicle
t h a t i s s u p p o r t e d o n l y b y a
j a c k ( u s e a r a m p ) . N e v e r u s e
a s c r e w d r i v e r i n p l a c e o f t h e
wheelbrace.
5. FITTING THE SPARE WHEEL
- Position the wheel on the hub and
start tightening the bolts by hand.
- C a r r y o u t a n i n i t i a l t i g h t e n i n g o f t h e bolts using the wheelbrace.

A l s o , h a v e t h e o r i g i n a l w h e e l r e p a i r e d
a n d r e fi t t e d b y a C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r a s
s o o n a s p o s s i b l e . R e f e r t o t h e " I d e n t i fi c a t i o n
f e a t u r e s " s e c t i o n o f c h a p t e r 8 t o
locate the tyre label.
REMOVABLE SNOW SCREEN
According to country, the removable
snow screen is installed on the lower
p a r t o f t h e f r o n t b u m p e r t o p r e v e n t t h e
accumulation of snow at the radiator
cooling fan.
FITTING
REMOVAL
- Pass a screwdriver into the hole
l o c a t e d n e a r e a c h o f t h e c l i p s .
- Use the screwdriver as a lever to u n c l i p t h e f o u r c l i p s B in turn.
- O f f e r u p t h e s n o w s c r e e n f a c i n g i t s
c e n t r i n g p i n A o n t h e f r o n t b u m p e r .
- P u t i t i n p l a c e b y p r e s s i n g a t e a c h c l i p B located in the four corners.
R e f e r t o t h e " I n s t r u m e n t s a n d
c o n t r o l s " s e c t i o n o f c h a p t e r 2 ,
" T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n "
p a r t , f o r r e c o m m e n d a t i o n s a f t e r
c h a n g i n g a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h a t y r e

Do not forget to remove the
s n o w s c r e e n w h e n t h e e x t e r i o r
