Automatic switching off
When the lights stalk is at "dipped head-
lamps or main beam headlamps", if the
ignition switch is at "LOCK" or "ACC" or
if the key has been removed from the
ignition switch, the lights switch off auto-
matically when the driver's door is
opened . On vehicles which are equipped with day-
time running lamps, the dipped beam head-
lamps come on when the vehicle is started.
This warning lamp comes on
in the instrument panel.
The instruments and controls (instru-
ment panel, multifunction screen, air
conditioning control panel, ...) are illu-

headlamps come on automatically, with-
out any action on the part of the driver,
if a low level of exterior light is detected
or if the wipers are switched on.
When the light returns to a suffi cient
level or the wipers are switched off, the
lighting is switched off automatically.
The sensor is located at the base of the
windscreen.
Contact a CITROËN dealer to adjust
the sensitivity of the sensor.
In foggy weather or in snow, the
sunshine sensor may detect suf-
fi cient light. The lighting will not
come on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, the
associated functions will no longer be
controlled.
The sensitivity of the automatic illumi-
nation of headlamps can be confi g-
ured via the colour screen "Equipment"

* The rules for carrying children are specifi c to each country. Refer to the
current legislation in your country.
GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
Intermediate longitudinal position

CITROËN recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
of your vehicle:
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
-

"forwards-facing" over the age of 2.
When a "rearwards-facing" child
seat is installed on the front
passenger seat , it is essential
that the passenger airbag is deacti-
vated. Otherwise, the child would
risk being seriously injured or
killed if the airbag were to infl ate .
CHILD SEAT IN THE FRONT
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat ,
adjust the vehicle's seat to the interme-
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
airbag activated.
Although one of CITROËN's main cri-
teria when designing your vehicle, the
safety of your children also depends on
you.
For maximum safety, please observe
the following recommendations:
- in accordance with European reg-
ulations, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one and a
half metres tall must travel in ap-
proved child seats suited to their
weight , on seats fi tted with a seat
belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for carrying children
are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
and in the rear.

The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compro-
mises the child's protection in
the event of an accident.
For information regarding the ISOFIX
child seats which can be installed in
your vehicle, consult the table show-
ing the locations for ISOFIX child
seats.
"ISOFIX" MOUNTINGS These are three rings for each seat:
- two rings A , located between the
vehicle seat back and cushion, indi-
cated by a label,
- a ring B , used to fi x the upper strap,
referred to as the TOP TETHER ,
indicated by a label. This ISOFIX mounting system provides
fast, reliable and safe fi tting of the child
seat in your vehicle.
The
ISOFIX child seats are fi tted with
two locks which are secured easily on
the two rings A .
Some also have an upper strap which
is attached to the ring B .
To attach this strap, remove the vehi-
cle seat's head restraint. Then fi x the
hook on the ring B and tighten the up-
per strap.
Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the
new ISOFIX regu-
lation .
The seats, represented below, are fi tted
with regulation ISOFIX mountings:
