Access
System which protects and provides a deterrentagainst theft and break-ins. It provides perimeter protection as well as a self-protection
function.






Alarm
Perimeter protection
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a
door, the boot, the bonnet...


Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of ser vice of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, the central control or the wires of the siren are put out of ser vice or damaged.


Locking the vehicle with
alarm


Activation
)Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
)
Press the locking button on the
remote control.
The perimeter protection is activated 5 seconds
after pressin
g the locking button on the remotecontrol.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the alarm isactivated.
)
Press the unlocking button on
the remote control.

Deactivation

The alarm is deactivated: the
indicator lamp goes off. Th
e alarm is activated: a indicator lamp in the switch panel to theleft of the steering wheel flashes
once per second.

Battery



Disconnecting the cables

Raise the locking tab fully.



Reconnecting the cables
)Position the open clip 1of the cable on the positive terminal (+) of the battery. )Press ver tically on the clip 1
to position it correctly against the battery.)Lock the clip by spreading the positioning
lug and then lowering the tab 2.

Do not force the tab as locking will not
be possible if the clip is not positionedcorrectly; star t the procedure again.
Procedure for char
ging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.
The battery is located under the bonnet.To gain access to it:)open the bonnet using the interior release lever, then the exterior safety catch,)secure the bonnet stay,)remove the plastic cover on the (+)
terminal.

Take the stay out of the support notch. )
Clip the stay in its housing.)
Lower the bonnet and release it near theend of its travel.)
Pull on the bonnet to check that it is fully
latched.
) Unclip the bonnet stay from its housing. )
Fix the stay in the notch to hold the bonnetopen.
Do not open the bonnet when there is a very strong wind.When the engine is hot, handle the exterior safety catch and the stay with care (risk of burns).


Opening

Push the exterior safety catch to the leftand raise the bonnet.

)Pull towards you the interior release lever,
located in the lower dashboard.

gine and provides access for checking levels.

Checks
On vehicle fitted with HDi engines, the fuelsystem must be primed if you run out of fuel; refer to the engine compar tment view on the
"Diesel engine" section.
If the tank on your vehicle is fitted with a misfuel prevention device, refer to the corresponding section.











Running out of fuel (Diesel)


If the engine does not star t first time, don't keep trying. Start the procedureagain from the beginning.

)
Fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of
diesel. )
Open the bonnet.)
Squeeze and release the priming pump
repeatedly until resistance is felt (there may
be resistance at the first press).
) Operate the star ter until the engine starts(if the engine does not star t at the first
attempt, wait around 15 seconds before
trying again). ) If the engine does not star t after a few
attempts, operate the priming pump again
then start the en
gine. ) Close the bonnet.
