Daytime running lamps
Special daytime lighting so that the vehicle can
be seen more easily. The daytime running lamps come on automatically when star ting the motor, if no
other lighting is on.
They cannot be deactivated. With the main li
ghting control ring in the AUTO
position, the sidelamps and dipped beam
headlamps come on automaticall
y, without anyaction by the driver, when a low level of ambientlight is detected.
When the light returns to a sufficient level or the
wipers are switched off, the lighting is switched
off automatically.
The sensor is located at the base of the
windscreen.

When the lighting stalk is in the "dipped or mainbeam headlamps" position, if the ignition switch
is in the "LOCK" or "ACC" position or if thekey has been removed, the lighting switches
off automatically when the driver's door isopened .
The driver is is aler ted by an audible signal. The initial setting is position "0".









Headlamp
adjustment

To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the halogen headlampsshould be adjusted according to the load in the
vehicle. 0. Driver only or driver + 1 front passenger.
1 or 2.
4 people (including the driver). 3.4 people (including the driver) + maximumauthorised load.4.
Driver + maximum authorised load.

Even though these lamps are located inthe same lamp unit as the front foglamp, the operate with a specific bulb.
Their use is covered by road vehiclelighting regulations.
In foggy weather or in snow, thesunshine sensor may detect sufficient light. The lighting will not come on automatically. Do not cover the sunshine sensor, theassociated functions will no longer becontrolled.

Changing a bulb
1.Direction indicators(W21W - 21 W).2.Sidelamps (W5W - 5 W).3.Main beam headlamps (HB3 - 60 W).4.Dipped beam headlamps (H11 - 55 W).

The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating:)do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product,)
use a sponge and soapy water, )
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not directat the lamps or their outlines for too long, so as not to damage their protective coating and seals.
)
Do not touch the bulb directly with your fingers, use lint-free cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be done after the headlamp has been switched
off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns). It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order notto damage the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb witha new bulb with the same type andspecification.

Changing a foglamp/daytime running lamp bulb

Turn the wheels onto full lock to improveaccess. )
Remove the clips holding the protective cover over the bulb holder. )
Pull the cover away.

Turn the bulb holder ( Afor the foglamp, Bfor the daytime running lamps) to the left
and pull it out.
) Pull the bulb out and replace it.

Rear lamps
Amber coloured bulbs, such as the direction indicators, must be replaced with bulbs of identical specification and colour.
In some weather conditions (e.g. lowtemperature or humidity), the presenceof misting on the internal surface of the glass of the headlamps and rear lamps is normal; it disappears after the lampshave been on for a few minutes.
Changing an integrated directionindicator side repeater(WY5W - 5 W)
)Push the repeater towards the rear anddetach it. )Turn the bulb holder to the left andpull it out. )Pull the bulb out and replace it.

Installation of radiocommunicationtransmitters
Before installing any after-market radio communication transmitter, you cancontact a CITROËN dealer for thespecification of transmitters which canbe fitted (frequency, maximum power,aerial position, specific installation requirements), in line with the VehicleElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive(2004/104/EC).



Depending on the legislation in forcein the country, it may be compulsory to have a high visibility safety vest, warning triangle and spare bulbs andfuses available in the vehicle.
