Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h r e g u l a -
tion ISOFIX mountings.
These are three rings for each seat:
- t w o l o w e r r i n g s A , l o c a t e d
between the vehicle's seat back
a n d c u s h i o n ,
- a n u p p e r r i n g B , r e f e r r e d t o a s
t h e T O P T E T H E R , l o c a t e d a t
the rear of the seat back at the
bottom. The
ISOFIX child seats a r e fi t t e d
with two latches and/or a strap which
a r e s e c u r e d e a s i l y o n t h e s e r i n g s ,
indicated by labels or a mark on the
rear seat back panel.

Deactivating
the passenger's airbag fi x e d . The passenger's airbag
control is set to the
OFF
position.
The passenger's front
airbag is deactivated.
In this case you can
install a "rear facing" child
seat. Set the control to the
ON position to activate the
p a s s e n g e r ' s f r o n t a i r b a g . I n t h i s c a s e , d o n o t fi t a
child seat in the rear-facing position.
Battery
charge fi x e d . The battery charging
circuit has a fault (dirty or
loose terminals, slack or
cut alternator belt, ...). The warning lamp should go off when the engine
is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Electric power
steering fi x e d . The electric power
steering has a fault. Drive carefully at reduced speed.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
Driver's
seat belt not fastened
(according to version) fl a s h i n g , t h e n
above 9 mph (15 km/h),
accompanied
by an audible signal. The driver has not
fastened their seat belt.
Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the
buckle.
Emission
control
system fi x e d .
The emission control
system has a fault. This lamp should go off when the engine is
started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN dealer or
a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p w i t h o u t d e l a y .

Check that the backrest has engaged
correctly. Rear head restraints *
The rear head restraints can be re-
moved and have two positions:
- high, position for use.
- low, storage position.
To raise the head restraint, pull it up-
wards.
To lower it, press lug
A then the head
restraint.
To remove it:
- tilt the seat back slightly,
- move the head restraint to the high position,
- press lug A pulling the head
restraint upwards at the same time.
T o r e fi t i t :
- tilt the seat back slightly,
- engage the rods of the head restraint in the openings.
To reach the low position, press lug A .
F o l d i n g t h e b a c k r e s t o f
the bench seat
The seat backrest is folded from
the rear of the vehicle, with the boot
open:
- check that the seat belt is
positioned correctly on the
side of the seat back to avoid
damaging it,
- place the head restraints in the low position (see "rear head
restraints"),
- while folding the seat backrest, pull the strap(s) A , located
behind the seat back.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compromises
the child's protection in the event of
an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harness k e e p i n g t h e
s l a c k in relation to the child's body
to a minimum , even for short jour-
neys.
To install a child seat using the ve-
hicle's seat belt, ensure that the belt
is well tightened on the child seat
a n d t h a t i t h o l d s t h e c h i l d s e a t fi r m l y
against the vehicle's seat.
For optimum installation of the "for-
ward facing" child seat, ensure that
the back of the child seat is in contact
with the back of the vehicle's seat
and that the head restraint does not
cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be removed,
ensure that it is stored or attached se-
curely to prevent it from being thrown
around the vehicle in the event of
sharp braking. Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied by
other children, cannot be used or are
absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag *
when a "rear facing" child seat is in-
stalled on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the airbag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
I n s t a l l i n g a b o o s t e r s e a t
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.
CITROËN recommends the use of
a b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t -
ted with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level.
