Rear lamps
1.Brake lamps / sidelamps (P 21/5 W)2. Direction indicators (P 21 W)3.Reversing lamp (P 21 W), near sideFoglamp (P 21 W), offside
These 3 bulbs are changed by removing thelamp unit:) open the boot,)
unscrew the two lamp fixing nuts A , )
remove the lamp unit by pulling outwards, )
unclip the harness,
When refittin
g, proceed in the reverse order
and take care to position the bulb holder, the
tongues and the lamp unit correctly.

remove the bulb holder by spreading the four tongues B

remove the bulb and change it.

Do not tighten the screws more than isnecessary, to avoid the risk of breaking
the lamp.
)Pass your hand under the bumper. )Remove the bulb holder turning it onequar ter of a turn.)Remove the bulb and change it.

Unscrew the 2 fixing screws A.)
Release the lamp unit by pushing the two
tabs Binwards.)
Disconnect the connector and the rear screen wash pipe.)
Remove the bulb holder.)
Remove the bulb and change it.
When refitting, proceed in the reverse order
and ensure that the lamp unit seal and the rear
screen wash pipe have been put back in place correctly.
)Push the repeater forwards or rearwardsand detach it by pulling towards you. )Disconnect the bulb holder and change it.

Changing a fuse

instrument panel under the trim.
) If necessary, unlock the steering using the
key. ) Turn the steering wheel to the left, remove bolt B.

Turn the steering wheel to the right, removebolt C.


Always replace a failed fuse with a fuse of the same rating (same colour).


Instrument panel fuseboxes


The fuseboxes are located under the instrument panel trim and next to the battery in the engine compartment.

Before chan
ging a fuse, the cause of the
incident must be found and rectified. )Use the tweezer A located in the fusebox under the bonnet.

Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal
(+) of the flat battery A, then to the
positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.) Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal (-) of theslave battery B.
Starting using another battery
)Connect the other end of the green or black
cable to the ear th point Con your vehicle(engine mounting). )Operate the star ter, let the engine run. )Wait until the engine returns to idle anddisconnect the cables.

is flat or for star ting the engine using another
battery.

terminal.

Charging the battery using
a battery charger
)Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
)Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger.)Connect the battery star ting with thenegative terminal (-).)Check that the terminals and connectorsare clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove themand clean them.

The batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acidand lead. They must be disposed of inaccordance with regulations and mustnot, in any circumstances, be discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries andvehicle batteries to a special collection point.
Do not push the vehicle to star t the engine if you have a electronic gearbox.

It is advisable to disconnect the batteryif the vehicle is to be left unused for more than one month.


Do not reverse the polarity and use onlya 12 V charger.
Do not disconnect the terminals whilethe engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries withoutdisconnecting the terminals first.

Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition
before disconnecting the battery.
Close the windows and the doors before disconnecting the battery.


Following reconnection of thebattery

Following reconnection of the battery, switch on
the i
gnition and wait 1 minute before star ting to
permit initialisation of the electronic systems.However, if problems remain following this
operation, contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
Referring to the corresponding section, you
must yourself reinitialise:


- the remote control key,

- the audio system.
