lighting
The temporary illumination of the dipped beamheadlamps after the vehicle's ignition has been switched off makes the driver's exit easier when
the light is poor.
Switching on
) With the ignition off, "flash" the headlamps using the lighting stalk.)
A fur ther "headlamp flash" switches the
function off.

Switching off
The manual guide-me-home lighting switches
off automatically after a set time.

Lighting on audible warning

When the ignition is switched off, allof the lamps switch off automatically, unless guide-me-home lighting is activated.

If the lighting is switched on manuallyafter switching off the ignition, thereis an audible signal when a front door is opened to warn the driver that they have forgotten to switch off the vehicle'slighting, with the ignition off.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal sur face of theglass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.

lighting
Association with the automatic illumination
of headlamps provides the guide-me-home lighting with the following additional options:


- automatic activation of guide-me-home lighting when automatic illumination of
headlamps is switched on (in the vehicle
parameters of the multifunction screen configuration menu),

- selection of the duration of maintaining of
the lighting for 15, 30 or 60 seconds in the
vehicle parameters of the multifunction
screen configuration menu (except for monochrome screen A where this is
preset).



Operating fault

In the event of a malfunction of the sunshine sensor, the lamps comeon, this warning lamp is displayed
in the instrument panel and/or a message appears
in the multifunction screen, accompanied by an audible signal.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor maydetect sufficient light. Therefore, the lamps will not come on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor,linked with the rain sensor and located in the centre of the windscreen behindthe rear view mirror; the associatedfunctions would no longer be controlled.

Automatic illumination of headlamps
The sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps areswitched on automatically, without any action on
the par t of the driver, when a low level of external
li
ght is detected or in certain cases of activation
of the windscreen wipers.
As soon as the brightness returns to a sufficient
level or after the windscreen wipers are switched
off, the lamps are switched off automatically.

LED lamps

On star ting the vehicle, in daylight the LED
lamps come on automatically, if the lighting stalk is in position "0"or "AUTO".
If the sidelamps and headlamps are switched
on manually or automatically, the LED lamps
switch off.
Programming
For countries where exterior lighting by day is not a legal requirement, you can activate or
deactivate the function via the multifunction
screen configuration menu.
In countries where daytime lamps are a legal requirement:

- this function is activated by default;it cannot be deactivated,

- in daylight, the sidelamps andnumber plate lamps also come on,

- If the sidelamps or headlamps are switched on manually or automatically, the LED lampsswitch off. In these countries, for versionsnot fitted with LED lamps, it is the dipped beam headlamps that come on automatically on star ting the vehicle .
Allowing the signature of the vehicle to be identified, this daytime external lighting comprises two sets of six light emitting diodes(LEDs), located below each front foglamp.

users, the height of the halogen headlampsshould be adjusted according the load in the
vehicle.

Changing a bulb
Procedure for replacing a faulty bulb with a new bulb.

Front lamps
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a protectivecoating:)do not clean them using a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product,)
use a sponge and soapy water or apH neutral product,)
when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keep the lance directed towards thelamps or their edges for too long, so as not to damage their protectivecoating and seals,)
do not touch the bulb directly withyour fingers, use lint-free cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be doneafter the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of seriousburns). It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet(UV) type bulbs in order not to damage the headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a new bulb with the same type andspecification.

Changing direction indicator bulbs
)Remove the plastic protective cover. )Pull the bulb-holder and replace the bulb.

Changing dipped headlampbulbs
)Remove the protective plastic cover bypulling on the tab.)Turn the bulb-holder by a quar ter turn.)Remove the bulb and change it.
To r efit, carry out these operations in reverse order.

If either of the direction indicator warning lamps is flashing quickly, one of the bulbs is faulty.
When refitting, close the plastic cover carefully to ensure the sealing of the
headlamp.


Amber coloured bulbs, such as thedirection indicators, must be replacedwith bulbs of identical specificationsand colour.

Energy economy mode

These functions are reactivated automatically
the next time the vehicle is driven. ) In order to resume the use of thesefunctions immediately, star t the engine and
let it run for a few minutes.
The time available to you will then be double
the period for which the engine is left running. However, this period will always be between five and thir ty minutes.
Switching to economy mode
Once this period has elapsed, a message appears on the multifunction screen indicating
that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions are put on standby.
A flat battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the correspondingparagraph).
If the telephone is being used at thesame time on the eMyWay audionavigation system, it will be interrupted after 10 minutes. S
ystem which manages the period of use of certain functions to conserve a sufficient level
of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audioequipment, windscreen wipers, dipped
beam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined period of thirty minutes.
This period may be greatly reduced if the
battery is not fully charged.
