It informs you when the next routine service is due in accordance with the vehicle servicing schedule in the Maintenance Guide. This information is dependent on two p arameters: the mileage covered, and the time elapsed since the last visit.
Operation
On switching on the ignition, the maintenance indicator spanner appears in the display for several seconds. The mileage recorder display indicates how many miles remain to be travelled before the next service is due (in thousands and hundreds of miles).
Example: there remain up to the next service:
A few seconds after this, the engine oil level indicator is displayed, then the total mileage recorder resumes its normal role.
Operation if the distance to the next service is less than 1 000 km (600 miles)
Each time you switch on the igni-tion and for 5 seconds, the span-ner and the distance fl ash.
Example: there remain up to the next service: 500 km (300 miles). On switching on the ignition and for 5 seconds, the instrument panel indicates:
A few seconds after this, the engine oil level indicator is displayed, then the total mileage recorder resumes its normal role and the mainte-nance symbol remains lit up. This is a warning to you that a service must be carried out at the earliest opportunity.
Operation if the service interval has been passed
Each time you switch on the igni-tion, the maintenance symbol and the distance covered (preceded by a minus) beyond the recom-mended interval fl ash.
Example: You have exceeded the service interval by 300 km (300 miles).
The routine service on your vehi-cle needs to be carried as soon as possible.
A few seconds after this, the engine oil level indicator is displayed, then the total mileage recorder resumes its normal role and the mainte-nance symbol remains lit up.

Lighting rheostat
The dimmer is active when the lamps are on and affects:The instrument panel: Rev counter, fuel level display.
The display screen.The air conditioning control panel.
Selection of mode and brightness is done by pressing the dimmer button A on the instrument panel.
Night driving (headlamps on)
4 levels of brightness + 1 level for Black panel.
Adjustment is by successive presses on button A in the follow-ing cycle:
level 4
W level 3
W level 2
W level 1
W Black panel.


This function is to give you the best possible visual conditions for driv-ing at night.
In black panel mode, the following information only will be displayed temporarily, should you request it or in the event of an alert:The warning lamps in zone C(bottom area of the instrument panel) will come on in the event of an alert: e.g. fuel low, coolant temperature.
The direction indicator warning lamps.The speed indicator.
The gear engaged.The mileage recorder each time you press button B.
The automatic air conditioning display each time you press one of the buttons.
The trip computer information.






Night drivingThe fi rst press on button D“DARK” places the display on standby. Only the time and the temperature remain visible at the top of the screen.
A second press on D switches the screen and the instrument panel off (black panel) with the exception of information con-cerning for example:The speed indicator.The gearbox.Cruise control / Speed limiter if this has been activated.Note: Timed lighting of func-tions if you:
Press any of the display con-trols.Select Radio-CD.Operate any of the air condi-tioning controls.Note: All the displays come on if there is an alert.A third press on D returns you to normal lighting.

When the outside temperature is between +3 °C and –3 °C, the temperature display fl ashes (risk of ice).Note: The outside temperature displayed may be higher than the actual temperature if the vehicle is stationary in bright sunlight.
Remark: The display of certain types of information is sometimes scrolled and sometimes alter-nated.

To activate/deactivate the auto-matic guide-me-home lighting:Press button A.
Select, using B, the sub-menu to personalise-confi gure your vehicle, then confi rm your choice with a press on C.Select guide-me-home lighting, using B.
The system tells you the status (active or inactive) of the func-tion. Modify this status with a press on E.
Then please wait for the display to disappear.

Then please wait for the display to disappear.
To choose units:Press button A.Using B, select the sub-menu for Units. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
Using B, select the unit you wish to modify (Temperature or Consumption).
Via presses on E, select the unit of your choice.Then please wait for the display to disappear.Note: This choice concerns all the types of information (fuel con-sumption, speed, etc.) that appear on the displays.








To display the Log of Alerts:Press button A.
Using B, select the sub-menu for options. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.Note: You can cancel the start of the display by selecting E to aban-Edon, validate with a press on C.
The alerts that have previously been signalled to you but not resolved, are recalled to you in a scroll.
To delete the display of an alert, press D.


To adjust the date and the time:Press button A.Using B, select the sub-menu for Display Adjustments, then confi rm with a press on C.
Using B, select what you wish to modify: Day, month, year, hour, minutes and display mode.
Make your adjustment by presses on E. You can continue your adjustments, selecting fur-ther parameters by pressing B.When you have fi nished your adjustments, simply wait for the display to disappear.

Main Menu
Press on button A to bring up the “Main menu” of the multifunc-tion display. This menu gives you access to the following functions:
Radio-CD
(See radio-CD handbook).
Trip computer, giving you:Entering the distance to the destination
Access to the log of alerts (recall of the alerts signalled previously.
Access to status of functions, for example activation/deacti-vation of automatic lighting of headlamps, ESP, windscreen wipers.



Personalisation - Confi g-uration, allowing you to activate or deactivate:The automatic guide-me-home lighting.Automatic lighting of head-lamps.
And choosing:The brightness, the time, the date and the display units.
The display language.

Trip computer
To enter the distance to be trav-elled on the trip computer:Press button A.Use B to select the icon “Trip computer”, then confi rm with a press on C.
Select entry of distance using B. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
To choose the distance, select the fi gure you wish to modify by using B, then confi rm with a press on C.Use B to adjust the value, then validate by pressing C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.
To access the trip computer's log of alerts:Press button A.Use B to select the icon “Trip computer”, then confi rm with a press on C.
Select the log of alerts.
When the list displays, use B to scroll through it.Press D to return to the perma-nent display.
To access the status of functions: proceed in a similar manner.









Personalisation/Configura-tion
To activate/deactivate the auto-matic guide-me-home lighting:Press button A.Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.
Then select the sub-menu for the vehicle parameters. Con-fi rm your choice with a press on C.
Using B, select lighting and signalling. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.



Then press C to select/deselect the guide-me-home lighting, to activate/ deactivate it. After activation, choose the duration: press C then use B to select the duration, then press C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.

To adjust the display brightness:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.Select the display confi guration with a press on B. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
Select the brightness adjust-ment. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
Select with a press on B, then validate by pressing C, the nor-mal or alternative display mode. To adjust the brightness, select the symbols “+” or “–” and con-fi rm your adjustment by press-ing C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.






To adjust the date and the time:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.Select the display confi guration with a press on B. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.
Select the adustment for the date and the time, by press-ing B, then confi rm with a press on C.
Press B to select the values you wish to modify. Confi rm your choice with a press on C.Do your adjustments with B, then validate each adjustment choice with a press on C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.
To choose the language:Press button A.
Use B to select the icon “Per-s o n a l i s a t i o n - C o n f i g u r a t i o n ” then confi rm your choice by pressing C.
Use B to select the desired lan-guage and validate your choice by pressing C.
Validate “OK” on the screen.

For selection and display of the various types of information, give short presses on the end of the windcsreen wiper stalk.
Instrument panel (For a ver-sion with digital clock)
The trip computer provides 4 types of information on the instrument panel, following the display of trip mileage:Range.
Instantaneous consumption.
Average consumption.Average speed.
Remark: If the cruise control / speed limiter is in operation, the display of trip computer information disappears after a few seconds.



Display A
The trip computer provides 5 types of information:Range.
Average consumption.
Instantaneous consumption.Distance travelled.
Average speed.
To cancel the display of the trip computer information, press a sixth time.




With screen C, a press on the “Mode” button brings up permanent display of the trip computer infor-mation.
To reset the trip computer infor-mation to zero, keep the end of the control stalk pressed for a few seconds when you see the relevant information displayed.
