Lane departure warning system

System which, using a camera which
recognises solid or broken lines, detects the
involuntary crossing of longitudinal traffic lane markings on the ground.
To provide safe driving, the camera analyses
the image then, if the driver's attention drops,
triggers a warning if the vehicle drifts over
a lane marking (speed higher than 50 mph (80 km/h)).
This system is par ticularly useful on motor waysand main roads. A
ctivation and deactivation of the function is done in the " Driving assistance
" menu of the
touch screen tablet.
Activation / deactivation
The driver is aler ted by vibration of the seat belt (at the level of the reel):
No warning is transmitted while the direction indicator is active and for approximately 20 seconds after the direction indicator is switched off.
Detection - alert

The lane depar ture warning systemcannot, in any circumstances, replacethe need for vigilance and responsibility on the par t of the driver.

)Press this button, the indicator lampcomes on. The function is activated )
Press this button again, the
indicator lamp goes off. Thefunction is deactivated

The detection may be impeded:

- if the markings on the ground are worn,

- if there is little contrast between themarkings on the ground and the road surface,

- if the windscreen is dir ty,

- in certain severe weather conditions: fog, heavy rain, snow, bright sunlight or direct exposure to the sun (low sun, leaving a tunnel, ...) and shade. In the event o
f a fault, this warninglamp comes on accompanied by anaudible signal and a message.

Driving
comes on in the door mirror on the side in
question as soon as a vehicle - car, lorry,
bicycle - is detected and the following conditions are fulfilled:

- all the vehicles must be moving in the same
direction,

- the speed of your vehicle is between 7 and 87 mph (12 and 140 km/h),

- the difference in speed between your
vehicle and the other vehicles must be lessthan 6 mph (10 km/h),

- the traffic must be flowing normally,

- in the case of an over taking manoeuvre,
if this is prolonged and the vehicle beingover taken remains in the blind spot,

- you are driving on a straight or slightly cur ved road,

- your vehicle is not pulling a trailer, a caravan...
No aler t will be given in the
following situations:
- in the presence of stationary objects (parked vehicles, barriers, street lamps, road signs...),
- with vehicles moving in the opposite
direction,
- driving on a sinuous road or a sharp corner,
- when overtaking
(or being over taken by) a
very long vehicle (lorry, coach...) which is at the same time detected at the rear in theblind spot angle and present in the driver's
for ward field of vision,

- in ver
y heavy traffic: vehicles detected in front and behind are confused with a lorryor a stationary object,

- when overtaking quickly.

360 Vision
This system provides a view in the instrument panel of the near surroundings of your vehicle,
using cameras mounted at the front and rear of
your vehicle and under the door mirrors.
Dependin
g on the angle of view chosen (front
view, rear view or 360° panoramic view),360 Vision provides special visual assistance
in particular driving conditions such as when entering a blind crossing or monoeuvring in
areas of reduced visibility.Once activated, this function operates up to9 mph (15 km/h). Above 18 mph (30 km/h), thefunction is deactivated automatically.
This system is a visual aid which in nocircumstances can replace the vigilance and responsibility of the driver. The images provided by the cameras may be deformed by the relief. Thepresence of areas in shade, in sunny conditions, or of low ambient light maydarken the image and reduce contrast.
Forward vision

The camera located in the front bumper isactivated and views of the areas located at frontleft and front right appear simultaneously in the
instrument panel.

Rear vision

The camera located in the tailgate is activated
and the view of the area behind your vehicle is
displayed in the instrument panel and behaveslike a reversing camera, whatever the position
of the gear selector lever.
The blue lines represent the width of your
vehicle (excluding mirrors): they move
according to the position of the steering wheel.
The red line represents a distance of 30 cm
from the rear bumper, and the two
green
lines, 1 m and 2 m from the rear bumper,
respectively.

Rear vision is displayed automaticallywhen engaging reverse, regardless of the state of the system.

Exterior lighting controls
Main lighting
The various front and rear lamps of the vehicleare designed to adapt the driver's visibility progressively according to the climaticconditions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
-
dipped beam headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps to see clearly when
the road is clear.

Additional lighting
Other lamps are provided to meet the requirements of particular driving conditions:

- rear foglamps,

- front foglamps with cornering lighting,

- directional headlamps for improved
v
isibility when cornering,

- daytime running lamps to be more visibleduring the day,

- guide-me-home and welcome lighting to
facilitate access to the vehicle,

- parking lamps as vehicle position markers.

Programming

The setting of some functions can be adjusted:

- automatic illumination of headlamps,

- Automatic headlamps,

-
guide-me-home lighting,

- welcome lighting,

- cornering lighting,

- directional lighting.

In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal sur face of theglass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.

Operation of the rear foglamps is inhibited with the tailgate open. Opening the boot when these lamps are on causes them and their indicator lamp in the instrument panel to go off. They do not come back onautomatically when the boot is closed: they must be switched on again using the control stalk.

In good or rainy weather, by both day and night, the front foglamps and therear foglamps are prohibited. In thesesituations, the power of their beams may dazzle other drivers. They should only be used in fog or falling snow.In these weather conditions, you shouldswitch on the foglamps and dippedbeam headlamps manually, as thesunshine sensor may detect sufficient light.Do not forget to switch off the front andrear foglamps when they are no longer necessary.

Switching off the lightingwhen switching off the ignition

When the ignition is switched off, all of thelamps switch off immediately, except for thedipped beam headlamps if automatic guide-me-home lighting is activated.

Switching on the lightingwhen switching on the ignition

To reactivate the lighting control stalk, turn the ring A
to position A"0"- lighting off, thento the position of your choice.
If the lighting is switched on manually after switching off the ignition, there is an audiblesignal when a front door is opened to warnthe driver that they have forgotten to switch

)Turn the ring to the "AUTO"position. The activation of the function is accompanied
by the display of a message. When a low level of ambient li
ght is detected by a sunshine sensor, the number platelamps, sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps
are switched on automatically, without any
action on the par t of the driver. They can alsocome on if rain is detected, at the same time as
automatic operation of the windscreen wipers.

As soon as the brightness returns to asufficient level or after the windscreen wipers
are switched off, the lamps are switched off
automatically.
Deactivation
) Turn the ring to another position.Deactivation of the function is
accompanied by the display of a message.
